Are Clan Nokhud done as a threat?

By the end of the dungeon we’ve freed Ohn’ahra and killed Balakar and his children, and the Khanam Matra Sarest expresses her hope that the Nokhud can heal and find their way back to their traditions. So all in all it looks like things have settled down, and the Nokhud would have that Bloodtotem ending of the bad eggs killed, some potentially becoming Primalists members over allies, while the rest rejoin their people.

However after a recent random dungeon of the place, I realized something. While we did kill Balakar and his children, the dude’s wife and mother of said kids is nowhere to be seen. Thus I realized they actually had an avenue of remaining a threat over just being one of those enemies we face at the launch of an expansion. After all Blizzard do enjoy their vengeance stories, regardless of or even because of how they take them.

So I’m giving it a 50/50 chance of Clan Nokhud remaining in the game as a threat going forward. But I’m rather curious on what everyone else thinks on the matter.

As an organized force they are done.

But I could see individuals being future raid bosses. We’ve seen that plenty- like the Goren in Blackrock Foundry, or the bird man in Hellfire Citadel (Ishtar? Ishkar? It’s been a while(.

Good chance they’re gone. Shame we couldn’t see them transformed such as the Furbolgs turned into rock brutes.

edit: Also another shame as they were native to the Dragon Isles compared to the Primalists which are crazy shamans… again.

I don’t know, but when they assaulted the Maruuk and did their Helm’s Deep thing, lining up in the rain and pounding their spears like the Uruk’hai I was having severe buyers remorse about our choice in centaur clan.

The Nokhud and Qualashi should have been friends, they’ve got spirit. I hope we see more from them.

For the moment, they’ve returned to being the arrogant edgelord clan of the Centaur and their holdings remain the one that’s till hostile to the player in the Gathering.

But sure, their story is not done yet.

Nearly 100% sure they’re the Blood/Feltotem of this expansion.

They’re there just for variety for levelling, there wasn’t really any named member of the Nokrud that we know of that survived the offensive. Them regrouping as a threat without their leader and with their ancestors pissed at them would be kind of a stretch

It was Iskar.

I’m convinced that the Qualashi story isn’t done. In the raid there’s a group of them and the emissary outright says that they are looking for the Elders*, and are working with the Primalists to that end.

*The Elders were the leaders and greatest of the djaradin that Neltharion sealed beneath the earth. Though it’s not clear if they are still alive and imprisoned or long dead.

I want them as a Horde race, I think it could work with mount restrictions to specific mounts. Or/and Dryad for ally

I’m now picturing Centaurs essentially surfing on the dragonriding mounts.

It seems like a good chunk of the initial threats aren’t dealt with in the dungeons, which is nice. The gnoll leader isn’t killed at the end of their instance either.

Now they gotta say stuff like “totally tubular duuuuude”

The Gnoll Decatriarch, the Djaradin Elders, Magatha Grimtotem, the Primal Incarnates and Balakar’s Wife are all still alive and raring to be a threat.

I think so, was kind of neat to see something start to end. Rare we get any kind of closure to arcs in WoW.

Just hopefully explained better… lmao that questline in Azure Span asserting they can do it because ‘their true ancestry is elemental!’ kinda drives me insane.

She really shouldn’t be a primalist tho- serving dragons is kinda the opposite of a tauren supremacists M.O.

The drake picks the centaur player up by their head and flies that way

I misread this as you proposing that centaurs use orcs as mounts and the resulting mental image was so confusing.

The Djaradin are using the Primalists to find the Elders, with the intention of turning on them after. So something similar could occur where Magatha uses them with the intention of disposing them afterwards or making them slaves.
