Dalaran Defender armor pieces with Champion track should now be eligible for conversion at the Revival Catalyst.
This was great in theory but outside of the weekly and now at over 300k Residual Memories I have only gotten the Champion track quality piece to drop from the once-a-week box for each of my 33 level 70’s. No other way to obtain these. All I ever get are Veteran Warbound until equipped Dalaran Defender armor pieces.
Is there some other way to get Champion track pieces from the event?
Nope, that’s it. Just once a week.
Then once again Blizzard has failed. Why bother making them Catalyst eligible at all being so few in number? Sucks even more when the piece I get isn’t even an actual piece of armor but a ring trinket or weapon slot. Has already happened often.
Edited to update: all of the gear you get from the event can be catalyzed. I just checked one of the 480 pieces and it works.
So you’d rather have a 480 weapon over a 493 weapon?
I mean the catch-up gear is just catch-up gear, if you want better gear, all the S4 content is still around.
And for the most part, all of the gear will work in the catalyst, including the 480 event gear.

It’s great that the season 4 content is still around but I am doing the content on 34 level 70’s to gear them in pre-expansion content. It is bad enough I have to do season 4 content for flightstones to upgrade the stuff. Shouldn’t need to do it for actual gear as well beyond my 515 ilvl main.
Everything that drops from the event is able to be catalyzed, not just the champ pieces. You can go into War Within with like 350ish ilevel and still own stuff in the face.
34 max level toons…I often wonder when I read posts like this if people ever REALLY look at themselves and their motivations…
