Are blood elf bandits bugged?

I’ve been farming a Blood Elf Bandit Mask for a few days now (which is super annoying because I know I’ve looted many of them over the years on characters I don’t have anymore :expressionless:) but in all this time none of them have dropped anything but silver. No whites, no greys, no junk, certainly no bandit masks.

I just want to know if I should keep at this. Is this normal? I don’t want to waste any more time on this if the mask isn’t going to drop. I know drop percentages don’t work this way, but I’m way past the 12% listed on Wowhead.

Hilarious, the very next one I killed after posting this dropped a grey item. I guess that’s a good sign.

It’s been a very low drop rate since TBC introduced the zone.

Ok, well, not bugged. Amazingly, after killing like two more I got my mask. I swear, sometimes it helps complaining. Like, just to the universe.
