Are balance druids not wanted in M+?

I did a couple of mythic+0 yesterday. It took a long time to find a group. When I finally did find groups I was topping the meters, silencing, stampeding roar during movement phases, etc. Not to pat myself on the back too much but I was an all-star DPS member.

Why are there so many rejections in the group finder?

I’m not sure how feral is doing (oddly enough my agility gear is several ilvl higher due to a lucky trinket and polearm drop)… but balance has usually done well in the past. Are 99% of the group finder people just not aware of that fact?

Balance druid is good in m+ not sure why you found this experience of people not wanting you, I am invited to groups almost quickly, I think everyone knows balance druid is good in m+ and raid, feral on the other hand is very difficult to get into groups.

Balance DPS is fine - there’s just a million other dps applying for everything right now, so a competitive environment is to be expected. Either keep at it and persevere, or if you’re in a rush to get your mythics done before reset, consider tanking or healing to guarantee your spot.

Once the season starts and IO score is a thing again, the field will winnow itself a bit.

It must’ve just be a slow evening. It felt good in a passive-aggressive way to out-dps the mage and rogue though lol.

Balance is very very strong atm relative to what we were in BFA and our utility is even better. Rotation isn’t the most fun but that shouldn’t stop people from inviting you to dungeons.

With Convoke in particular your single target damage is very strong. AoE will always be pretty good but it suffers a bit on packs with lower HP because Balance needs time to ramp up.

I haven’t done any Mythic+ in SL yet but I’ve done it plenty in BFA and I can’t imagine why it would be considered weak now with everything it has to offer. Balance has very good single-target DPS, very good AoE DPS, and plenty of utility.

If you wanna have a lot of fun get a Priest friend to Power Infusion before you cast Convoke then unload 3 Starsurges and spam wrath, hilariously high numbers

I do the 3 starsurges before convoke. To buff the eclipses. Top ST and AE.

Yeah I do as many as I can but after I use Convoke I usually have enough AP to use a few more.

You are just one of 20 dps queuing for a spot. Often they will just invite the highest Ilvl.

I think this is the case. I put on my agility gear when I queue now (it is 3 ilvl higher due to lucky weapon drop). I’m getting in a lot more. Just need to remember to switch back to my intellect stuff before pull

I think your overall ilvl (so stuff from bags) is what’s seen and not just what’s equipped. May have been a slow day, and with it being Sunday/Monday everyone is trying to crunch before the reset

M+ isn’t open yet - you can’t do any.

@OP - you’re a dps. Dps always have difficulty getting in to stuff. I’ve been tanking for instant invites and summons everywhere.

Also, ilvl is all a lot of people are looking at right now. Smarter m0 groups will look at BFA IO scores and get decent players to guarantee smooth runs. But most will just go off ilvl.

So if you haven’t done many of your +0’s yet you’ll be competing with those that just have a couple to go, and are likely higher ilvl. Or those who are bored and saved to everything and just doing them for no loot - i’ve been doing this.

Once m+ opens up and IO becomes a thing again, the ranks will get thinned.

Funny you are saying that.

I was putting together mythics last week - and one group I had started with a mage and warlock. I was specifically looking for a balance druid because I thought it would benefit that composition better

Also I see Druids the same way I see warlocks. Just a lot of great unique utility. So I think you’re safe - you’ll still be picked

That is unbeknownst to a lot of Druids or used incorrectly :frowning:
