Are Alliance trying in BG's anymore?

Like come on guys, have a real go at Arathi Basin instead of getting 5 capped on the regular

It’s because of the shamans man! They gotz like 15 of them every AB and are invincible!

Get with the times Zugg!

Sorry we hit rank 7 Tuesday after P3 dropped. No reason to BG anymore.

From what I can see on this forum when alliance see a shaman they lose all their groombas and give up on the spot.

AB Map advantage + insane shaman damage & utility means alliance get rolled. You just need to pray they’re uncoordinated.

What’s the point of being stomped every bg?
Plus many Alliance players are rank 7 right now and don’t want to play this farce called pvp until next phase.

So now please be a good boy and stay in queue until phase 4.

i play both horde and alliance and there is basically no coordination on either side, even in games with no shamans, the horde always win and i already know why, ab is an unfair bg, the map favors horde too strongly if you are in an average game

You will notice that the horde almost always outrotate the alliance, if you play enough ab u will notice that no matter where you go, the horde are there and the alliance aren’t, its because when alliance own BS (the most important node on the map) the horde can stretch them by going ST, the alliance have to swim through the water to get back to ST and the same can’t be said for the alliance attacking farm because the horde have a bridge from bs.

Once the horde get the bs+lm+farm trinity you can’t get it back and there is no such three base for alliance

There is no AB map advantage.

Yes there is a map advantage. Horde can always beat Alliance to the flag at the BS. And it’s closer to return after deaths. And to protect stables from BS Alliance has to go around or across the water. Horde can protect BS, LM and Farm with a lot less travel than for Alliance to protect any 3 nodes. If you get even 2 players NOT rotating and chasing squirrels, the game is going to end up with a 2000/1000 point loss.

The only time this evened out was when DK’s were in game and had Path of Frost.

As R7 and exalted in both AB and WSG and a fully geared healer, I am NEVER going back to AB or WSG. IF Blizzard had left the first damage nerf in the game, I played about 25 games that weekend and won 14 of them. The other games were all fairly close except 1. Alliance gives up when they have 6-8 Shamans beating on them and the chat turns very toxic. The last 2 AB’s I ran, Horde was coming up to spawn and I just afked out.

It’s too late. Blizzard had the chance with the first damage reduction, but like everything else, they ruined the game by going back. Between the burst damage and shaman’s being so OP, almost everyone I know that was good in PVP has given up the game. I came back to do BG’s again. In P1, we ran 187 WSG’s, with 181 wins to get exalted. But then Blizzard gives WSG rep away free now. You ruined AB with lumber turn in’s (how do you think I got to exalted in less than 2 weeks). Add 4 or 5 shamans bursting everyone down, and Alliance afk’s out.

So NO. I think BG’s are over for Alliance. Maybe “A skirmish will break out” and you can have Horde v Horde. I don’t think the game is fixable at this point because most Alliance PVPers have been gone from the game. There is no return for me at this point.

Sorry, but no amount of map advantage will ever make up for bad play. Alliance just suck at PvP. Y’all can cope with whatever you want. I see it every expansion.

Maybe Alliance just chase the rewards. Every decent Pvper was rank 7 the first week of p3. And have been exalted ab and wsg since the 2nd weeks of P1 and P2.

Late night you see 6 to 10 Shaman’s on every Horde team. Don’t say this isn’t an advantage. I was the first Alliance to receive “Of the Alliance” on my server, back in the day (the time when they didn’t combine hks on ALL characters). I just don’t see many players on Alliance that want to PVP. The first damage reduction was a huge improvement and Alliance healers returned to BG’s but that quickly got reverted. A lot deleted and rolled Shamans. If I cared, I would do it. But it’s a seasonal game and tbh, I’ve already moved on to another game. I’m not waiting around to see what Blizzard team is going to do “next week”. I really wanted rank 14, but i’m sure Blizzard will ruin that too. They will either give it away or leave Shaman’s so unbalanced they ruin the game and everyone just afk’s out. I know players already talking about running to “the cave” (you know which one) and just afking honor at AV. This isn’t for me.

Except they don’t. There is always a fight over the flag.

And Horde’s fighting position is almost always much closer to the flag, if Horde sends a force. And Alliance is fighting about the position of the side of the buildng. And it’s a much closer ride to return from the farm’s gy than the stable’s. Many times I have seen killed Horde players return fast enough to tilt the cap.

Just wait for “A skirmish has broken out”. That is what is coming. Should do it now and end this debate.

Being closer to the flag doesn’t matter. It only takes one tap to break the flag cap.

At which point it becomes a skirmish.

“A skirmish” is when you have Horde v Horde and Alliance v Alliance teams at BG’s. This would be the best fix for BG’s in SOD. So do it and let the qq begin anew.

I agree and think this is basically due to how easy it is for horde to rotate on the cross roads between the 3 where as alliance have to hold LM or mine , the former makes you swim to bs or land box jumps perfectly or the latter forces you into a pit.

Honestly all you’re saying is alliance can’t beat an equal horde team because alliance ply poorly.

Yes and no… Its true that Horde have a clear advantage in Pvp, due to horde side have better races for it… But i would agree generally horde is better organiced and win more…

But, i remember the first week in classic of Alterac Valley, alliance steam rolled horde the first week, i dident loose a single AV, and once i got exalted me and many other of the sweaty never looked back… and horde was back to buisness… ^.^

It was only “equal” with the 50% damage reduction where I was winning 60% of games played. It will never be “equal” until Shamans are nerfed to where they are just a normal class.

Why not have same faction bg’s? That would answer this question. And the question was “Is Alliance Trying”? NO, they are not even going, much less “trying”.

In same faction BG’s the side that starts on horde side doesn’t have an advantage.
