Or is it mainly forum raging? Some people say it is that bad, some say it isn’t. Idk what to believe. Just returned to retail don’t have a 120 yet.
Forum raging. Alliance have been kicking my butt all day in BGs, rofl. Took me about five of the brawl games to finally get a win today.
I think it depends on your server group. I have a friend who complains every time he does BGs that he can only win when he plays Horde.
However, when i played BGs as an off and on healer from Cata to about early BFA it always felt 70A/30H for wins.
the complainers are always the ones making noise and getting noticed. all you’ll get on the forums is anecdotal accounts, or rather each person’s personal experience with it.
in my own experience, alliance hardly ever wins. i’m sure others have different experiences.
Its mostly server group which sadly is leaning more towards bad than good generally sadly to say, usually theres Trolls, bad players, sometimes good players and Sabotage Mode players (aka Horde not acting like Mercenaries) then finally you got the actual Merc Mode players who least try.
Ohai again Mr. Dwarf.
If you intend to play around this time of day/night that you’re posting, alliance generally does poorly in epic BGs. Someone else will have to comment on smaller BGs, but I’ve heard those are somewhat near 50/50. Note that there are probably horde mercing (playing on the alliance side) in smaller BGs, which probably helps to even out the win rates. Conversely there are probably few horde mercing in epic BGs because alliance win rates there are rather bad.
depends on what you play really. When I play a healer I usually win and when I play a dps, we usually dont have a healer at all and we lose lol.
im alliance on shadowmoon.
I find it’s different at different times and days. Weekends and holidays seem to be alliances time to shine.
It’s also dependant on how many premades and such are floating around.
this happens often enough that there is a term for it?
Most BGs can be carried and won by 3 players who understand the meta game (think rogues who individually sap-cap towers vs the rogues who simply run around with the rest of the herd).
If you don’t get these types of players on your team, then you’re probably going to lose if you, yourself, aren’t one of them.
Alliance player and seemingly win a lot morr alliance sided. Remember youre the common denominator
If all it’s takes is one person not having a good game to lose that means the team as a whole isn’t that great to start with
If they don’t win all games it means they never win.
Don’t trust complainers they exaggerate.
Most of the alliance in bgs are horde so yeah
Just trying to clarify it for the OP since he hasn’t played in a while. I wish we had data on mercing - would be super interesting to see how win rates correlate.

Also, don’t believe posts like this unless the person posts on his alliance 120 and you can look at his actual BG data.
Really? Ally teams are full of horde mercs?

Alliance has had a largely unchallenged victim complex for years as a result of not playing the other faction and realizing they get the same if not worse treatment.
This superstition has turned into reality, as because the rumor has been around for years, it spawned people that are good at the game who are avoiding playing Alliance in PvP.
I play on wyrmrest Accord. I thought all servers were merged in bgs? There’s battlegroups?
its a flip of the coin for both factions, sometime you take no prisoners, sometimes you get a lot of quality time in the graveyard.
