Question in the title.
I know the Mage Tower Werebear skins and the PVP skins are gone, but are the other ones still available if you complete whats required?
Like the Stone Bear guardian druid skin for example?

It’s just the base mage tower skins. You can get all of the rest still, including the color variations of the mage tower skins if you have the base one unlocked.
Okay cool. I was trying to figure out if they were still available but all of the videos on how to get them were over a year old and there was nothing more recent to tell me whether or not they were still available.
PvP skins aren’t gone, you just need Honor Levels.
Oh i thought they were gone too. How many levels do you need for the first one? And does it just give it to you automatically?
I believe its just 10.
And yea if you have enough Honor Level, they’ll all be available to you as soon as you hit 98. You will also have it open for preview on new toons like the base form.
Oh okay that’s cool. I guess I know what I’m doing for the next week or so lol
Thanks!
You can also still unlock the hidden skins. However note the pally one is bugged since it requires a drop off neferian that he no longer drops. You’ll have to do what I did and have a GM deposit the quest item directly in you mail box.
There are hidden skins?
Yeah most of it required artifact knowledge at a certain level, and then you had to do something. Everything should be online now.
Yup. Every class and spec has a hidden artifact weapon skin and none have been removed from the game.
Yea. All classes have a secret skin that you won’t actually get a quest for. Check wowhead.com for how to do yours.
Thanks! I didn’t know that. I’ll have to figure out how to get them.
Some of them have interesting ways of getting them like the ret pally one being little nobs to the old conspiracy theories of how you would get the ashbringer back in vanilla. Such as endlessly fishing. Or the arms warrior one where you have a 1v1 against Saurfang in the Skyhold.
Others are just “go to this cave and see if you get lucky” such as the prot warrior one.
The one that caused a lot of anger at blizzard was the Fury Warrior one. As you needed to get an item from the penultimate boss in Halls of Valor (which was a random chance) and the skulls of two dragon world bosses. However in patch 7.2, blizzard made it that the old 7.0 World bosses had a random order in which they would spawn weekly. While before they had a set rotation (the ones that spawn in Surumar spawned randomly prior to 7.2). Because of this one of the dragons (Nithrogg) never spawned for 6 whole months. Basically the length of patch 7.2. So blizzard added in new ways to get Nithroggs skull such as it being a random reward from the pvp cache in the warrior order hall (you needed an order hall talent to be able to loot the cache), or a random drop from the Odyn encounter in Trial of Valor during that length of time. Blizzard would later return the 7.0 world bosses to a set rotation in 7.3
Luckily I got mine before all that drama took place =)
Some hidden appearances were really hard to get, or a really rare drop. I didn’t get the guardian hidden appearance until well into bfa because it was a rare drop off a raid boss. But I got the fire mage hidden appearance while killing trash mobs for a quest.
Meanwhile, the 10 books you had to collect to get the disc priest one had to be gotten all during the same week and finished, otherwise you could never complete it. Very bad design.
So they really weren’t equal.
Never said they were.
My point is that the effort to get them was not equivalent.
Some were stupidly easy to get, some were hard, some had ridiculous rng, and some were buggy.
have hidden appearances been removed as a transmog option?,they are no longer appearing in my T-mog tab for Artifact appearances.
