Arclight Rumble Promo - Poor first impression

Very much not impressed with the promo rollout. While I understand it’s hot off the presses, first impressions matter, and this one is the pits for me. The effort involved in simply finding the initial rumble coin bag is negative fun; running around the (relatively small) Roasted Ram, competing with literally everyone in Valdrakken for a small bag that (possibly) despawns when a single player collects the single coin within, and which seems to be on a lengthy cooldown (assuming its not bugged?)? Not great. Not great at all.

It’s like a monkey humping a football inside a soup sandwich. If anything, this promo makes me want to play Arclight Rumble LESS.

Putting secret finder content into the main stream ( as opposed to being discovered by the people that like that stuff ) seems to be their current thing.

And the never do their current thing a little bit, they do it until we can’t stand it.

Aren’t the bags located all around the Dragon Isles? Couldn’t you just go someplace else?

I did it on one character and found both bags very quickly. My second character didn’t see them at all in the Inn at Valdrakken. However, he found the coin and foil together in a tower in Waking Shores completely by accident (was doing a WQ there and saw something on the mini-map).

It’s possible that only the first character will get the items from the Inn as they do say “account bound” on their descriptions. I don’t know at all how this works and Blizz sure doesn’t explain this stuff, but if you’re having “negative fun” do something else.

I gave you an upvote for this imagery alone. You have a way with words.

Yes they are but the initial start up quest begins in Roasted Lamb Inn first…which leads to player stack up’s esp on massive player realms…

Collected all of the coins and the foils. 0 issues. I do hear there are some bugs with the foils being able to be used on something you already upgraded though.

Not exactly as my little guy visited Orgrimmar for completion.

…though I assume a horde alt works for the collection, not sure why I didn’t think that. :robot::hammer:

I’m just disappointed by the promotional items themselves, to be honest. Little static statues? They’re not even animated. They don’t even make a sound when you click on them.

At least Hearthstone gave us a mount.

I am disappointed in fact all that work and it only lasted a couple hours if that to get it all done…but alas we can’t have events that take days to do or weeks cause most of player base has a attention span of a gnat now.

I couldn’t quite figure out what the quest was asking me to do. I opened the coin bag 3 times, and completed the quest 3 times on the same char. I still have the same quest again a 4th time. It awards me a blue rock that I already have 3 of and I can’t figure out what to do with it. The machine just asks me to go find another coin, I go find the coin, it gives me another blue rock, then just asks me to go find another coin. How many times do I have to find the coin before I can turn in these blue rocks?

Here is some info on this now…locations and how to do it and the bugs you might run into…https://www.wowhead.com/news/warcraft-rumble-crossover-promotion-locations-for-all-coins-and-foils-335322

i wanna know what you’re smokin op…
so i can avoid to not imagine that.

“Live server beta test” and “semi-secret runaround”, when stirred together do make for an … interesting … puzzle event.
