I unsibscirbed today… I will not pay another $ until Archon is banned and disabled. That addon is making the community 1000x worse and should not be allowed. I have played WoW for twenty years, until today. I will not sub until addons like this are gone. I was running 2’s and 3’s today on my alts and people were blathering “Your main is only 2k, bleh bleh bleh” . How toxic are you going to let this get Blizzard? I can’t even run a casual 2 on an alt without my main being degraded because I don’t play 24-7 with a 3500k rating…What a joke!

Finally, someone actually unsubscribing over a complaint, that might actually do something. You know how many forum posts are people complaining and then still subscribing and paying so blizz isn’t impacted at all and therefore has no reason to do anything? Make sure to fill out the cancel sub form too because I think they read those

Not new but Archon makes it way to easy. I get it for 10’s and up but people doing this in lower keys is just rediculous!
The add-on basically skips the step of “open web browser”.

You don’t play any content where anyone would be looking at logs. No one is looking at logs for 2’s. This is just a ‘complain because I can’ post.
It takes 2 seconds to look at someone’s logs. The addon just makes it easier for pugs. Last I looked it does not show your parses for M+ so people still have to look if you they don’t trust your IO and want to see if you been buying carries.

Opting out so you show no parses or rank is just the same as showing bad rankings or parses. Doesn’t solve the problem at all.

It’s because they’re bad.
100% of the time.
Some might say it’s because they don’t want randoms tracking them - an in-game privacy concern. And that might be true. But the internal reasoning for that is just going to be a fear of being harassed or kept out of groups because of their poor stats.
Ergo, they hide the stats because people see the bad stats and it has a negative influence on in-game interactions and grouping. Which wouldn’t be an issue if they were good.
Note that I’m specifically talking about things like warcraftlogs parses.
CheckPvP is another story, and 100% needs to be shut down. I have a friend who basically can’t escape being harassed without proactively hiding characters as soon as they’re made by making an account and messing with settings there. And their existing characters are all compromised already because they didn’t know about it at first.
That’s not a stat thing. That’s an actual (virtual) stalking thing that the website openly advertises.
You go on that website and see all the random RP Server 0-rating (or effectively 0 rating) recent searches on the sidebar? Yeah those aren’t people using the website for legitimate PvP functionality. It’s not a majority but it’s way too common of a use case over there.

All tracking addons need to be banned. Use the in game M+ rating… done! Use the in game rating system for PVP? Done! Easy peasey!

Disc Priest is like 40% of healers and you think some stupid addon that snitches or crappy players is the problem? Legit the meta is so hard enforced due to clear cut OP specs, it makes nobody want to play with anyone else. THAT’S THE PROBLEM.

Why do you care what a random player thinks of your IO? How is that “degrading”? You can ignore that player and never see them again.
