Easy fix, kill the api access, add an in game threat monitor and make boss abilities telegraph better so dbm isn’t need by anyone. No reason they shouldn’t tbh, but it’s been this long, so…

Honestly, if people want to treat a 20 year old revamp like it’s a world first e-sport flex who am I to burst their bubble? If it allows them to feel special in their virtual world then all power to them.
Play how you want to play, just don’t force your nonsense down anyone else’s throat.

I dunno bud, pretty sure the people spending $25 on said addon would be a better description of human garbage.

If enough people report it to Blizzard as a problem, Blizzard is more likely to take action.
Blizzard doesn’t care anymore just look at how the game is being ran all they care about is the sub money and people buy stuff in the in game store.
Not really sure what the issue is with the addon? If a raid / group doesn’t want to play with you because of your parse just find another?

Exactly this.
people see this is a skill version of gearscore, which is universally disliked (except by people who want to filter out bads from pugs haha).
if it gets a free release, i’ll use it for sure
. if it remains paid, i will report it to blizz for breaking TOS. Screw paying for addons.
Because it is going to bring game “skill” into all aspects of the game and arguements where it doesn’t belong.
I have been pestering the mods on the WCL discord, they have confirmed the addon will be FREE in its final release.
There will be some kind of limit on the ‘depth’ of data available (his words).
It’s currently in early alpha/testing for patreon subscribers. There isn’t detail on the release schedule yet…

Wouldn’t the solution just be to strive harder to get better? Say if we’re looking for a pug, would I rather bring the grey parser or the blue+ one? If anything it incentivizes people to learn their class?
I have decent parses, but there is a line we should and shouldn’t cross. This feels like a no.
