Hey all.
I just started the legion class hall quests and am looking forward to the mage class hall mount and was curious if the mount aesthetic is still locked to whichever spec you’re in? According to wowhead it is but, I’m curious if they added anything in to let us choose.
I have a kirin tor kind of transmog going and even though I’m frost, I’d like to be able to fly around on the arcane version.
Any help would be appreciated

I wish it wasn’t spec locked, warlocks get all 3, I don’t why none of the other classes got that treatment.

What I was hoping had happened somewhere along the lines when I wasn’t playing, was something that allowed us to use any colour. My hunter also has no issues mounting up on all the other variants. I’m surprised to see we are still spec locked to them 
I think the rationale for this is that the casting animation is different for each and uses the element of your spec. These mounts were introduced at the height of Blizzard’s push to make each spec “unique” aka mono spell school.
I am still holding out hope there will be a way to repair Atiesh this expansion and earn it as a mage or caster legendary weapon along with the ability to turn into an arcane raven that we can keep as a flight shape/mount like the Tarecgosa mount.

I just really want to use the arcane disc on my frost mage! The arcane phoenix is gone and I’d never get the spellbound tome thing.
I’ll have to have a look at what else there is although I think they’re really the only fitting mage mounts that are Kirin Tor-ey

Ah awesome. Thank you, I’ll have a look. Managed to get my prismatic disc yesterday. There’s a few requirements you no longer have to do which sped up the process. Still want the arcane disn on my frost mage though!
