This NPC is just gone, completely disappeared after the update on Tuesday. I’ve tried everything and he won’t appear. I can’t acquire the hidden artifact appearance. Please help.

I also can’t find him. Have wandered around pressing /tar Archivist Inkforge as well, he’s just missing! He was there to let me pick up the start of the Artifact book collecting but now that I have 12 I’ve nowhere to put them.

Thanks for letting me know. I thought I was going crazy! I’m in the exact same situation and there is zero information about this issue anywhere. I submitted a ticket and they just gave me an automated response about normal quests, but this isn’t a normal quest. No idea what to do other than wait and hope for a fix.

I’m seeing the same issue.
He was there before because I got the first “The Annals of Shadow and Light” from him. Just this week I decided to complete the hidden appearance and collected the remaining 11. Upon returning to Netherlight Template, he’s nowhere to be found.

Also for me, just commenting to boost this. I saw him before but I wasnt ready to start the hidden artifact appearance. He is no longer there, I’ve been checking every day for at least 4 days now and he has no appeared. I hope they can fix this!

I’m also being ghosted by Archivist Inkforge and am worried the books will be gone with reset (I read on wowhead that happens?), as I gathered all 12…returned and he’s MIA. :\

Supposedly they fixed that issue and it doesn’t reset anymore. Seems like this NPC and quest have been trouble since day 1. They should try to streamline the acquisition of the disc priest hidden artifact, because this sucks.

!!! @ everyone in this thread: the hotfixes today didnt specify that he had been fixed, but since it mentioned the class hall mount for priests I went and checked for myself anyway…he’s back!!! go turn in your books!

A GM responded to my ticket and this is what they told me. I haven’t had a chance to test it myself but I hope this helps you.
“I did some digging to see what I could find for you. It looks like other players have reported that there are some unknown requirements for this character being present in the order hall. As you have completed A Glorious Campaign, but have not completed the questline starting with A Fallen Star which is currently in your quest log, I would recommend completing that entire questline. While not officially part of your order hall’s questline, it is a key part of the structure of the Legion questline, so not completing it can cause phasing issues and other roadblocks for your character.”

Mine was still bugged. Did all the troubleshooting I could find, spent a chunk of time completing every single campaign quest I could find in Legion to try phase him back in.
He appeared for my partner, so we partied up and synced and tried wm on and off, and he still wouldn’t appear for me.
Blizzard sent me the exact same (useless) WoWhead link twice as a response. Blizzard Support even said I should try reset (delete the scrolls) even though the WoWhead that they linked me to cautioned against doing that as it can break the questline.
I expressed my frustration and didn’t delete the scrolls, and I finally heard back today. They said they reviewed my character and don’t know why he’s missing, so turned my quest item in for me.
Just updating in case it can help anyone else with this problem. 
Best of luck! Wish I had a solution that wasn’t dependent on Blizzard Support, but here we are.

Decided to try and obtain Tomekeeper’s Spire on my priest alt last night to see that Archivist Inkforge is missing for me also.

I just went into mine today hoping he was there and not yet. Even checked if I did the right quest that Calagon mentioned and I’ve done mine.

Any updates on this? Ran into this issue today. Cant even find him to start it , let alone turn them in.

I tried 2 different tickets with 2 different GM’s and both say they refuse to look into it because its related to “hidden content” and then provided me with links to wowhead where there is a guide detailing everything you need to do to complete this content.
You know, because the completely figured out content from 6 years ago is “hidden”…except it isn’t, its bugged.
One GM said I still have uncompleted legion campaigns. So I guess i need to complete every scrap of legion content before they’ll consider even the possibility of it being a bug? And then still refuse to help because the content is “hidden”?
Which is silly because Ive done this on my other account already back in legion and know for a fact none of this is required to unlock the appearance. And many online video guides can showcase this fact aswell.
Guess that’s it then, hopefully one day ill log in and it’ll magically be working again.
For reference ive completed both the order hall campaign AND the Fallen Star quest line as stated above. So my order hall should be in its final phase anyway.

I ended up finding him for a brief second on an older priest alt I had restored, but once I went ahead and got my discipline artifact weapon, he disappeared when I went back to the order hall. No idea what to do at this point.
