duel spec caused problems to tho. Allowed people that never tank to swap and say i am a tank with dps gear or pvp gear. it sounds like a good idea but hurts the game as well. Making people leave in middle of run and wait for a new healer or dps because they tank is not a real or any gear tank. duel spec added. uped the abandoned runs. why they added the 30 min debuff for abandoning the runs

A lot of the changes they made are terrible

58 boosts, terrible

rating requirements on season 1 arena gear, terrible

arena rating starts at 0 instead of 1500, terrible

Are you implying this doesn’t happen already and only happened once dual spec was introduced?

I just learn to live with it. If they put dual spec in I will live with it. Only thing I am doing in this post is adding in my 2 cents like everyone else for what they are in favor of. But thanks for saying I’m not allowed to have an opinion.

Working as intended. The designers of this game did not want players switching specs constantly. They didn’t want it in vanilla. And after seeing how that worked out in vanilla, they doubled down and decided to continue to make it inconvenient to respec in TBC. It wasn’t a mistake. It wasn’t an oversight. It is how the game was intentionally designed.

In WotLK, they changed their stance, and decided to give in to the whiners on this and other demands, a trend that started the decline of the game and that continues to this day. But the whole point of Classic TBC is to play a version of the game before that trend and decline began.

It’s not about one person and the change they want. It’s about how many people want it. Dual spec is massively popular and a game change requested by a large group f players. It’s only a small fringe group against it. Most of the other changes aren’t wanted by most players or at least don’t seem to get much support.

These are personal opinions though not factual opinions.

58 boosts, thanks to that I was able to get 4 extra alts churning out cloth and get my main’s crafted gear even faster. I think a lot of people enjoy the boost than don’t enjoy it since at this point in the game it is really hard to differentiate between a boosted and non-boosted character.

I’m guessing you’re having trouble getting your rating? Seems perfectly fine to me at this point. How do you feel about them introducing the PVP rep gear way ahead of schedule?

There are good arguments both for and against it. I don’t like feeling stuck to a team because we did the initial 2k grind and to swap to play with another fresh team means grinding it up from 0 again.

Whether or not it is terrible though is a matter of opinion and that opinion will vary depending on how you interact with the arena system.

it happens now… i am saying it increased the abandoning of runs after ds was added no one wants to wipe 3 or more times because the i can tank in dps gear tanks could just swap to get faster ques. then a 15 min run or so takes 30 waiting on people to rejoin and go summon and such. duel spec causes problems saying it does not is absurd.

I will agree it is largely popular, and again I will live with it and use it if it’s in game. However since it isn’t yet I am putting my vote on the no side of it. It’s just my opinion to the subject. I am willing to wait until the next expansion for it to come out.

Look, you’re attaching emotion to something that is inherently emotionless.

They didn’t “Give in to the whiners” instead they had a bunch of internal shifts in their development and leadership team during Wrath leading into Cata. You also conveniently ignore that Activision acquired Blizzard a couple months before Wrath was released, too late to impact any changes mad in Wrath but not late enough to give us the hot garbage of Cata.

There are a lot of technical and business reasons WoW turned into hot garbage, “giving into the whiners” shows you lack a clear picture of how and why it happened.

You can have an opinion but you should avoid implying your opinion is the uniform opinion of the player base.

Never did I imply that I spoke for others. Anything I write is to be assumed I only speak for me. Just as anything I read from others I will assume is only from that person and they are not the representative for a group of people.

You’re making statements that you can’t possibly verify and really aren’t based in reality.

You don’t know what the designers wanted in terms of switching specs constantly. They wanted there to be some mechanism to apply a cost to switching specs constantly but if they didn’t want player do to it all they would have simple put in a mechanic other than cost to prevent it. As it stands player can switch specs constantly as long as they have the gold for it.

They didn’t double down on anything in TBC, it most likely wasn’t even on their radar.

Well to cut this off from other responses I must go to work now so I won’t be able to respond. Stay civil everyone.

Which shouldn’t have been added either.

So am I. I was willing to play classic with the dead zone on my hunter too. But I wasn’t willing to do any dungeons in buildings like Strat or Scholo. It just wasn’t fun to constantly have to search for a spot to dps as the tank moved the mobs around. In some of the smaller rooms I couldn’t find a spot to do a ranged attack and melee dps on a BM hunter is the worse. I’m doing the same thing with BC, and classic, with no dual spec. I rarely quest or farm on my holy priest and never pvp. It’s just not fun for me to do anything but dungeons or raids with a healing spec.

In my opinion it was a massive design flaw to not have dual spec in the game. Lots of people don’t respec and that causes many people to only play one part of the game and to raid log. That’s not good for an MMO.

So wait for wotlk.

In retail, you can choose to level in TBC content. With all the features you want that arent in TBC Classic.

Since you don’t care about or want the people who want TBC classic as close to no changes as Activision will allow while still milking it to death, you won’t miss them if you head over to retail.

I don’t see why people are still here if they want retail features in TBC when they can have them already, without ruining other players experiences.

I really don’t understand this. After you have your flying mount, what else are you saving up gold for? The way this game just throws gold at people, it really makes me question if these people just raid log and therefore never seem to have enough gold. Anyone who actually plays the game shouldn’t be hurting for gold.

I would pay a higher monthly subscription if it would stop these stupid crying for dual spec posts on the forums. Dual spec was a bad idea and it most certainly does not belong in TBC. Also 50g is nothing. Just use the addon called “Talented”… it lets you save an unlimited number of spec templates so changing specs is a single click when you need to do it.

But it’s here. So…

Repairs and alchemy mats.

Huh, then why do people buy it all the time?

What a mystery this is…
