Iâm indifferent and donât care but I think you whimpy casuals that think you have the right to demand changes to the game are the worst.
TBC wasnât made for you retail tourists that want qol for everything, you knew exactly what the game was like when you signed up, if you quit we donât care, in fact weâd rather you go back to retail.
I love TBC exactly how it is, I donât need âchangesâ to make it âacceptableâ to play.
You people are the tourists that come here and then demand changes, I was one of the people that played nostralius and signed the petition that forced Blizzard to make Classic in the first place, you are a just a tourist that doesnât actual care about the game.
People that truly care about Classic love the game and accept it for what it is, they donât need changes, the people that demand changes are the recent tourists who came here to âgive it a tryâ and later decide âyou know what I like this game but I want x feature in the game or I quit!â.
The problem with you tourists is your list of demands never ends, once you get dual spec you want something else, the end result is TBC Retail with LFR and dungeon finder and mercenary mode and x-realm etc.
I wouldnât really mind for raiders who want to do arena and BGs for their spec to automatically change to a specific pvp spec
But any arguments for dual spec to resolve tank shortage is weaksauce. That argument is DPSers saying âIâm a DPSer I want dual spec so OTHER DPSers will spec tank and tank my pugâ not happening.
If you are healy priest and want to clear the dozens of quests in BC, respeccing twice will save you so many hours its worth it. If you want to spec shadow because you are a skinner and find the carcasses others leave too far and few between⌠you picked the wrong prof.
If you want to kill stuff like elementals for primals. ⌠level or boost a DPS.
I respec on average 4 times a week, doesnât bother me at all because gold is so easy to come by in TBC, I see the appeal for dual spec, but anyone quitting the game because they donât have dual spec is pathetic and was probably just a tourist to begin with.
I donât think catering to tourists is a good idea at all, all they do is complain about the game and generally make the game unfun for everyone involved.
One of the best things that I miss about private servers was the community, there were no âtouristsâ, everyone was there because they loved the game from the bottom of their heart and accepted it for what is was âwarts and allâ, itâs makes for a better player experience when everyone truly wants to be there.
Alot of the people âquitting because I donât have dual specâ are just making up excuses for why they quit, truth is, your friends probably just donât like classic games and donât want to play them period and needed and excuse for an out.
I donât think many people are quitting because they donât have it, theyâre just not playing the game outside of raids. People would rather not play Arena than spend 100g every time they want to login and play some matches with a friend.
E.g:
âHey dude, wanna play some arena matches before raid?â
âNah, donât wanna blow 100g for a few matches. How about after raid?â
âSorry, gotta go to sleep after raid.â
This scenario is extremely common and is a large reason why the Arena scene is so deserted. The times have changed; no one wants to play Arena (or raid) in a subpar spec. No one wants a 100g fee to properly play other aspects of the game. No one wants to schedule everything they do in this game around a respec cost.
