That thing so many people were bidding on it… that and a friend of mine was bidding and I didn’t know it so we drove up the price more than we should have but oh well lol

You can already purchase these on the BMAH. I would recommend advocating for changes to the BMAH to make it much more accessible to people.

Recolors, yes!!

Delete the BMAH and add all of that stuff as gold sinks in other ways. Like… vendors or quests that you need to craft 'em yourself (not like that bs with tier 3) by spending a lot of gold.
