“Arcane blast fades”.
Folks in this thread saying PoM pyro has a telegraph but PoM AB is a hard tell that this guy is about to bomb with arcane surge. Now obviously it’s not the most reliable thing to do to throw a silence on yhe mage after he poms an AB but it’s absolutely a form of counterplay. If you silence and kill mage after pom AB, the next arcane surge won’t be as good.

Mage can pop invis pot. Next. More cope from the ziqo fanbase. This ability is 1 shotting anyone in the video game and Ziqo intends to use it to win a $20k tournament.
Also you can counterspell before casting AB so your rebuttal is moot. Just stop trying you know nothing about pvp.
Nerf it ty.

i will admit when im wrong. i thought u where talking evocation and yes i looked at arcane surge and moved on. I have been killed by it but i actually got crit harder from a druids starfire or whatever crit for 1700

running voidwalker and sacrificing for their shield when you see the PoM arcane blast might do the trick.
Obviously you have to be rocking that specific pet, but as far as pvp goes with all the burst I think you should just run that pet most the time anyway.
Do you get seduction yet? Could try and seduce into a chaos bolt and hope you can burst him down
good players will just counterspell the voidwalker/succubus before 1shotting and then cast the combo. also voidwalker sucks, no one has it out.

Dueling tournament is a meme. Anyone who cares about dueling is capping hard. Next.
seems like every time u get proven wrong u just goalpost. chip on ur shoulder. seek help and therapy before commenting again.

I never moved the goal post. It has always been “no one cares about being one shot every 3 minutes with a setup”.
If the mage is using an invis pot between setup and burst… I mean at the end of the day PvP has a max 30 second respawn. How much time is this mage spending to kill one person just to be flaccid the next several minutes?
Res within 2 minutes and kill them, they have nothing until that CD is back.
PoM pyro has a telegraph and you are right, if POM Blast is used before, that is also a telegraph. Arcane Surge can be used without POM Blast though and it still does allot of players life total in crit damage. If I silence and fear, I’ll need to maintain a perfect fear lock, and kill him or else he will Arcane Surge and win. There is nothing flying through the air that you can see and eat a soul stone or drink a health potion for. The button is pressed and it hits you instantly appearing over your head. It’s not truly counter when you simply delay the inevitable.
In the future I’ll SS/Health pot the moment I’m hit with Arcane Blast, assuming Surge is coming and knowing if it crits, it could kill me. It’s just wild something like this exists and only the future will show, if even Blizzard is truly okay leaving it in the game.
While they obviously intended it to be a meme one shot ability, I hope the give it a rework.
Something like
1.5 second cast
Medium damage
5% to 10% haste buff per AB stack
15 to 20 sec CD.

This entire thread is proof of how wrong you are…

I see your logic, but think about Rogues, especially streamers like Payo. All their ego, all the gold, all the chips are on the table when they go for kills. They want to have every 5 minute cooldown available. Classic Rogues with prep with literally wait for prep between kills. Payo will use every cooldown to kill someone and then log out, only logging back in once every cooldown is reset. Peoples egos are into this game so winning and losing matters. For some, it’s not as simple as “30 seconds ress max we good”.
If your Ego is based on you getting some pixel points or about your life inside of a video game, you need some serious reconsideration of your priorities in life.
Odd thing to say, seeing the state of classic and SoD. there have been so many bots that you can see lines of them in cities, there are videos are prove it. The game was so flooded that Blizzard has had to take drastic steps, banning by the thousands. Why do these bots exist? To make gold. Why? To sell it. To whom? WoW players. This means that so many WoW players were buying gold that it has employed hundreds or thousands of bots to supply the demand. It seems to these players, who appear as the majority, pixel points matter. They created a whole GDKP system that took over WoW and requiring a banning. All that gold cost real money, players paying extra real hard cash for pixel points. When you say “need some serious reconsideration of your priorities in life” you are saying that anyone who invests in their characters need to reconsider priorities. Dang bro, can we relax and enjoy a video game together without it getting THAT real?

Spell Lock silences for 3 seconds on top of the interrupt.
Do you know what Blink is? If they’re at 36 yards for you to cast. And they Blink 20 yards at you.
Do the math.

You are literally saying exactly what I am saying with your end point there. Buying gold =/= emotionally invested into your character. We literally have people who kill themselves over this game.
Peoples egos are into this game so winning and losing matters.
If this is you, please seek help. Its a video game. An entire virtualized world. Not real life, and has 0 effect on your actual real life. Go to work, and tell your boss you got a 2100 rating in PvP. Is he gonna promote you? Is your date gonna drop her under garments upon hearing this?
What you do in this game, outside of those who play professionally and actually earn a living from it, has no effect on the real world. If your life is so invested into this game, what are you going to do when it finally ends? When servers shut down?
Couple things
- Destro does more damage than arcane does, but does it every 12 seconds, from 36 yards, and without it costing their entire mana bar.
Mages might global someone every 3 minutes… Destro is near garunteed to global someone every 20 if grace specced, and capable of globaling someone every 4 if incinerate specced (but rare via lower crit rate, at the trade off of consistently doing 85% of a health bar non crit
This right here just tells me you have no idea what you’re doing.
Vanilla warlock pvp specs literally never want to be closer to a target than 31 yards, unless it’s a hunter and you’re 1v1. This isn’t p1 anymore where you don’t have a choice, you can get the range talents in p2, you should be getting a range talent.
Bakashi, My take from you is not to be competitive in video games.
Drosul, 1. You should know the weighs and balances of SoD right now. Destruction spec CAN truly destroy like you say, accept they are free kills to Rogues. As Destruction, try to seduce, fear, bomb, sleep, whatever you want, but a Rogue is still going to kill you. This means it’s not so cut and dry as “look what Destro does”. Your tradeoff is being scared of certain classes just to kill others.
- This is not Vanilla WoW. Runes and added new gear make a huge difference in how the game plays. I know from experience that if I use the rune that makes Health Funnel instant, I was to maintain a range within 24 yards of the Mage or any target. Most Mages worth their water knows this and I see them trying to out range it. In times that a Mage can range it, my health bar starts falling and I start losing. As long as I stay within range, my health bar does not fall, but goes up and down repeating.
