Arcane Surge is bugged and does not increase Mana regeneration appropiately

Lvl 25 Mage on Season of Discovery.
When I stop casting I regenerate 37 Mana every 2 seconds once the 5 second rule kicks in.
When I cast Arcane Surge Mana regeneration is activated but I receive appearantly random amounts of mana each tick. From 35-140. It should increase regeneration by 300% so I would expect 37* (100%+300%) = 148 mana each tick for 8 seconds (i.e. 4 Ticks). In reality after the next 4 ticks I end up with aorund 200 mana instead of the ~600 mana.

I noticed the same issue. As an undead mage with 105 spirit; I regen 39-40 mana every 2 seconds after the 5 second rule. After arcane surge, I consistently gain 88-89 mana every 2 seconds for the duration of the buff. That is not in line with the 300% increase.

Yep same realization after grinding numerous hours to get honored. Very disappointing :frowning:

Bump. This is still bugged

can we get a fix on this please

Still not fixed as of Jan 2 2024

Still not working for mana regen as of Jan 5, 2024 now.

Was about to post this bug. Let me add some data to show how wonky this is.

Mage Information:

  • 39-40 Mana Regen every 2 Seconds (from 107 Spirit)
  • 1/3 Arcane Meditation

Expected: Casting Arcane Surge should increase mana regeneration by 300%, resulting in ticks of ~160 mana every 2 seconds.
Actual: Casting Arcane Surge results in ticks of ~89 mana every 2 seconds.

Expected: Arcane Surge’s buff should enable full mana regeneration for its duration.
Actual: Casting a spell immediately before or after Arcane Surge changes how much mana is regenerated while its buff is present. Ticks of 42 mana are observed instead of the expected 160 mana (or 89 mana while the previous issue persists).

Adding Enlightenment’s buff that gives an extra 10% mana regeneration while casting does not alter the results from issue #1, but does increase the ticks of mana in issue #2 to ~51 mana every 2 seconds (and yes I ensured the correct Enlightenment buff was present, as there’s often considerable lag between crossing the rune’s thresholds and actually having the correct buff).

There’s something very bizarre going on but the net result is that you’re only getting about half the mana back you should, and only if you refrain from casting a spell immediately before or during the Arcane Surge buff.

Still not working as of Jan 28th 2024.

Arcane Surge now works perfectly and doesn’t consume Clearcasting as of the patch today!
