Arcane simplification

I am glad they have adopted a 100% simplification of the spec and no longer have this bull crap “opt in” idea when it will cause them to have balance issues and stuff. And I am glad they have abandoned that philosophy and just follow through on their promise on simplifying arcane as a whole.

Same. In most games, I really love the “mage” or “sorcerer” or “wizard” archetype, but WoW has me largely playing other casters (mostly destro lock) because of the complexity of arcane for so long. Some people like that stuff, and that’s fine, but me personally…I would rather be able to focus my attention on the mechanics and the epicness of the fight itself, rather than ensuring I perform a convoluted rotation EXACTLY perfect or my numbers greatly suffer…

I am hoping these changes allow me to comfortably play arcane and feel like a proper MAGE. Which brings up my other problem with the class…why I don’t play frost or fire is because those don’t FEEL like mage specializations to me. Shamans are masters of elements, mages can USE elemental spells, but their focus, their bread and butter, should be mastery over raw arcane energy. My humble opinion on the matter.

Arcane’s rotation has definitely been simplified but it’s not at the level of Destro. I play both and Arcane is still much more complex even after the rework.

I am the same way. That’s why Destro Lock has always been my main alt (and now Devastation Evoker too). Mage specs, particularly Arcane, can still stand to be simplified quite a bit more.

Its Probably only Temp…I feel Blizz is constantly changing their minds on these things. Visually…Arcane looks fun to play…Missiles and Orbs, so while the fun lasts ill have at it.
