I play BM and Survival and I’m actually curious if Hunters Mark or Arcane Shot are useful in any way? Hunters mark appears to add no value to PVE and Arcane shot costs more than my cobra shot and does less damage. I really enjoy kill shot but are these other abilities just filler?
Hunters mark is perfect for exposing stealth. Drop one on a rogue, watch him vanish, continue to see it. In PvE, it has no value whatsoever…unless there are stealthed mobs you’re struggling to keep track of. Or you’ll find use in rare situations…definitely not part of a standard rotation though.
I can’t say much about arcane shot as I play survival…and we cannot use it without a bow. I think of it as just a generic hunter skill given back to all specs for uniformity.

With weapon-swapping macros, Arcane Shot can be a useful and practical ability for SV when you need to be at range but your Aspect of the Eagle is on cooldown.
