ZG, AQ = nature resist
MC, BWL, ony = fire resist
naxx = frost and shadow resist
??? = arcane resist
when is arcane resist ever practical?
Literally never.
literally never?
Literally.
Arcane Damage is virtually nonexistant outside of a handful of mobs. In fact the only boss who even does a significant amount of Arcane Damage is Shazzrah, and people kill him in blues and greens.
As far as I can remember there isnt really a whole lot of Arcane Damage from anywhere, even players. Druids may do a bit with Starfire, but its still split with Nature damage from Wrath making Arcane Resist still crap, and most Mages will be Fire or Frost.
Arcane Resist is literally useless.
Anytime your resist an enemy Polymorph, you can say to yourself "BAM!! ARCANE RESISTANCE, BAY-BEE!!"
I knew it was practical! :^)
Arcane is useful for shazz (MC) and the prophet (first AQ 40 boss). Other than these, it’s not an important element. It could be useful for balinda in AV, but horde typically just skip her. Good luck trying to convince them otherwise, even if they have no chance at beating the alliance in the current match.
There’s a rumor that karazhan was going to be the big arcane resist raid before it was shelved for TBC. But we’ll never know.
interesting fun fact. makes sense to me. lots of stuff in there can or could use arcane
well there are some mobs that do arcane damage here and there… and i think 1 boss in MC…
Pre-nerf Tempest Keep. Grand Astromancer Solwhatever
There were many such areas. Azshara, Winterspring, Silverpine, and Tanaris all have closed gates going nowhere. There’s also a closed path going to the blood elf city.
