That is intense lol.
I cannot give you Mage advice but Stars and Tentacles seem to be the strongest by far. Pick those 2 , and slim down your corruption before Thing IMO.
I sometimes use Corrupted Gladiators Spite with chain Stun and Fear which is pretty fun, that would proc your high corruption most likely instantly.
Shift+M is important for awareness.
