Arcane ignored and nerfed to the ground

What is up with this class tuning and wimpy tier set? Seriously, are the game designers having a laugh at us?

EDIT: Game designers, please watch GingiTV’s stream today (12/20) starting at 3:38:30. His “OK” says it all

2nd edit: I do like that more power has been moved to touch of the magi but it is still buffing something that is very weak, I don’t think this will be enough to make it a satisfying button to press again

It is also bugged. It still, expansions later, does not copy the full arcane missile volley, just the first hit. So, the duplication of it is really lame.

When will they fix?

Ooooooof. I didn’t know this.

Something is weird about the arcane explosion, I remember it doing a lot of damage in DF but now it is not nearly as satisfying. Though I don’t have a concrete method to compare them, I think it is because so much damage has been moved to the hero talent tree now

Still bugged. I really wish they’d look into this.

Spec into Magi’s Spark, and use Arcane Missiles; only the first hit is duplicated.

I don’t know how they can “fix this”, but maybe take the initial hit and multiply it by the volley (so 8, I believe), so if you get lucky and crit it or not. Or, they can just actually fix it. lol.

It is very disappointing because copying Barrage and Blast feels so satisfying, but sloppy spaghetti noodle arcane missiles feels lame.

O_o. How the crap does blizzard expect accurate logs if they leave stuff bugged and not in proper order!?!

This company has fallen so damn far from what was top quality. Its so sad.

Mage design and balancing has been such a weird battle between dev and player.

The decades long pursuit of the arcane dream seldom realized. Finally made a fun spec, in legion but due to its bursty single target focused profile, it yo-yos between being OP and non viable. It was strong early in the season, and now inexcusably weak. In M+ it’s a 25% damage nerf compared to frost.

This xpac frost is constantly being pushed towards a more passive class. Spell slinger got pushed into a very passive hero tree where like 50% of your profile is just afk damage from orb and splinters. Thankfully frostfire becomes viable with a much more active playstyle and we get our procs nerfed.

I feel like they maybe recently lost the person on the team who actively played arcane.

I was amazed by the class design during DF. I know it has its critics but I marveled how all of the moving parts fit together, personally.

Now it seems like it’s a bit of a mess
