Arcane elemental stuck on character

For the last few weeks, my Priest (This character) has a giant arcane elemental stuck on him that persists even through death. I’ve tried abandoning quests, unequipping, relogging the whole nine yards. This was amusing at first, but now has became super annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

I have this issue also starting today 8/2/2022. After I did a quest for Akazamazaaaaa (Legion) for the Mage Class hall. He wanted me to summon several of these servants in Dalaran and then one “stuck” to me. Very difficult to get help on this.

Me too, I was just idling in Dalaran after I went to the barber shop and it appear on top of me while I was alt-tabbed. It’s been stuck on me for almost an hour now and this thread is the only thing I can find on this.

Just got the same problem on this character after idling in Dalaran.

Please enjoy the following graphic at my expense. Yes, it’s even on at the Barber Shop.

Character is STILL wearing the Arcane Servant “hat” (leftover from “Servant to No One” quest).

What I have learned:

  • The problem only affects how I see the character. No one else sees it.
  • It is 100% NOT client-side.

What I have tried:

  • Erased my hard drive, reinstalled my OS, reinstalled WoW.
  • Waited for the Tuesday maintenance reset.
  • Contacted Support. First response was a useless Copy/Paste. Still waiting on the follow-up (I’ve waited 4 days and it’s still magically 7-8 days away).
  • Read and followed every piece of advice I could find (Wowhead, et al.) on the problem; even followed the st00pid advice (like the one Support suggests: “Join a PvP queue”).
  • Started a thread on Reddit asking for help.
  • Did everything I could to change my appearance (got Polymorphed, Barber Shop, appearance/guise-changing toys, et al.).
  • Did everything else I could: cast every spell, relogged, removed addons, deleted cache/WTF, rezoned, used portals, used taxis, flew, swam, took all my gear off, jumped off Dalaran to kill myself, used the Unstuck mechanism…and much, MUCH MOR*E!

NOTHING WORKS.

This is really sucking the joy out of playing.

joined for a non rated arena match and made it go away this way

This is the case with my mage as well. I’ve left him alone for months because I can’t get rid of it! Any other suggestions to get rid of it? Seeing the above comment, have other people had luck entering pvp and it disappearing?
