Why does it take so long for blizzard to respond to this sort of thing? On netherwind we have 3 pages of arcane crystals for around 30 gold. They used to be 70. More dire maul fly bots?

Don’t forget all the crystals farmed while ppl were doing scarab lord quest. There is a huge surplus right now.

They’re from the Obsidian nodes in AQ which are abundant and drop tons of Arcane Crystals.

no, sorry, i agreed with you about layers. but i posted proof of strat live on my server being full of like 30 mages at all hours of the day, i have proof of every troll female hunter / mage on my server patrolling for black lotus in every zone where lotus is available being from indonesia and one admitting to selling black lotus for IRL money. its nto a conspiracy theorist. they are farming nonstop and driving the costs down and selling gold/ items for IRL dollars.

How was my statement a conspiracy? It is fact that a ton of nodes were farmed by ppl killing scarabs.

People forget the bug caves are now heavily farmed for CC rep.
They can also be mined from the AQ 20/40 mob poops.

dont be that guy who tries to explain away blatant botting/ gold farming. you dont help anything by being that guy.
Not saying they don’t exist, but the supply is much higher, and now that titanic leggings are either crafted or not going to be, the demand is much lower.
And seeing as melee dps warriors will only want T3 for the looks, I don’t really see demand going up after the initial Naxx attunement rush.
Also, the bots do good work. It makes raiding affordable.

I’m not saying that there aren’t bots nor am I saying that bots don’t frequently farm other items like Righteous Orbs in Live Strat.
But the fact is that arcane crystals are cheaper on every server because of the Obsidian Nodes in AQ.

I bought enough orbs for every conceivable weapon enchant I will need for all of my toons for the remainder of classic.
I’m just wondering if that’s all there is. I have yet to mine a crystal from obsidian so i really doubt the drop rates are that high. Remember when mana and health potions were dirt cheap for a month? That was dire maul fly bots looting the chest out of tribute runs. It wasn’t a conspiracy then.
Also don’t forget that people just don’t need crystals right now. When BWL launches and everyone wanted to craft their thunderfury the price of crystals went way up. As demand has dropped, supply has increased, and the prices have dropped.

I can understand the skepticism but there are tons of nodes in each instance and obsidian is being mined around the clock now.
If you look at the AH it will be filled with cheap Obsidian shards. It’s being mined around the clock, and with that comes all the arcane crystals that also drop from these same nodes.

Why in the world would Blizzard respond? AQ is open, demand is lower. Personally I have been thinking about buying and banking on an upswing when Naxx comes out but I haven’t had the guts to pull the trigger yet.
maybe, arcane crystals are needed for professions, gearing and as such the cost is tied to gear, those buying it for professions and dungeon quests need a few but not many. The cost meanwhile is how much people are willing to pay for arcanite.
I guess aside from that sword that takes 100 arcanite bars to make, you know the one, and the twenty or so for naxx final gear it is sort of like toilet paper with covid as most people won’t be getting that sword that people mention that need 100 bars of it now gear is just in aq40. Spiked in demand will happen phase 6 keep an eye on skill books as the price for them drops.
My tip ignore the 100% speed mount and focus on gear.

Can someone explain to me what the issue is? I’d love for Arcane Crystals to be that cheap on my server.
My guess for why is so cheap is:
- Demand is not as high since everyone and their mom has a TF.
- More nodes are being farmed with AQ out and everyone in Silithius.
Unless bots can somehow magically spawn Crystals, I don’t know where the evidence is to prove that it’s bots.
