Arcane charges not displaying correctly

You can log on to the 10.1 PTR right now and test it yourself lol. Took 'em quite a while, but it IS fixed. /thread

Really!? Well thank the titans for that, took them long enough! Good to know, I haven’t logged in forever let alone downloaded the PTR so I had no idea. Love how it’s not acknowledged in the patchnotes. They’re actually going to pretend it was never an issue and try to bury it under the rug.

I believe the notes were something along the lines of “updated the look of various resource tracking UI elements”, so ya properly swept under.

Edit: Updated special resource art and animations for the following classes: arcane mage, dk, feral druid, rogue, etc.

They are not banning WeakAuras, they’re adding the ability to have private auras in the game that addons cannot track.

This is still an active issue, beyond a display bug. If you join a dungeon from an instanced zone, your arcane charges just actively wont work. You can stack them up to 4 and your arcane blast will act as if you have 0 charges (no haste or damage bonus.) Seems this has been an issue for 9 months which even by Blizzard standards is incredulous

No, this issue was fixed when they updated all the resource indicators. What you’re describing has always been the case. You can’t start a boss fight or zone into an instance without dropping all Arcane Charges. It works the same way for all other spec specific resources too.

This is not what I described; I was and still am unable to generate charges that actually affect abilities for the entire duration of the run if zoning into a dungeon from an instanced zone (i.e, another dungeon). If I’m soloing a dungeon and my queue pops, charges are entirely non-functional. The only fix is relogging every time.
