I got the book from the wrathtail nagas and was on my way to the third crystal to unlock the rune. I arcane explosioned the last crystal but did not get the rune south to north. I now cannot get any buff while exploding any of the crystals. I deleted the book, repaired files in game, logged back in and completed the naga head kill quest after killing an additional 40 nagas. I cant complete the arcane blast rune.

You don’t need the book from the nagas. You just need to hit the crystals with arcane explosion in the south to north order. (I got the AB rune because I knew the order, didn’t kill a single naga)
So the scroll was in my pack, didnt see it drop because a raid was chasing me…
Same thing for me, south to north but no rune and can’t get new buff. Did you resolve it or still no luck?
edit I exited game, logged back in and rune was in my bags.
I had the same problem. I got the book and had a buff after the south rune but it went away after second rune. Can not get a buff now. Any ideas as this is crucial to arcane mage
This is just the game’s way of telling you that fire spec is superior.
