Arator is half elf, half human, being Turalyon and Alleria’s son.
We haven’t had a half-elf model until now, with the new Blood Elf customization options for ear length.
Could a dev quickly pop in and change his ears to the short option real quick?

NPCs don’t use the same game models as players, most of them their clothes are part of their model too.
inaccurate for humanoids, and they have been changed many times. It would be a simple fix.

While this is true for unique story NPCs like Jaina or Dadgar, many NPCs are made the same way as player characters. I’m pretty sure Arator falls into the latter category, and is just a normal BElf model.

That was unnecessary. Absolutely nothing in lore states what half elves specifically look like. And even the models are.all over the place for different half elves.

My personal theory is that Kalec uses the 2004 human model for his half elf form as a conscious choice because it has less polygons and therefore pointier ears.

Base insults aren’t great in public spaces friend.
Also that’s not how genetics work, you have to take into account recessive genes, unequal distribution, and how those genes are distributed.
It’s not just child is exactly half way between both parentsin every single respect.
