Arathi Empire

I’m gonna miss Gallywix and all of that extra personality.

Interesting, I feel like things like racism and sexism should be prevalent in most fantasy settings. For as awful as it is, this does ground the story a bit and make it a tad more relatable. Overall, this could make for some decent drama in the days to come. I just hope Blizzard handles it responsibly and uses it in a way that adds a layer of depth to the Arathi Imperials(not sure what else to call them yet) and not make them obnoxious…

This. At this point in the story Faerin has met Alleria and seen her fight, and is very aware that she’s voidy. She elaborates that the Arathi of Hallowfall are very aware that their circumstances mean they can’t be too picky about allies, while the Empire has not faced that same pressure.

Everyone is xenophobic at one or more places in history.

As I have said, for all the talk about “HuMaN pOtEnTiaL”, we have actually never seen the ancient Human Empire in its glory days. Stromgarde is clearly just a shadow of its former self and the other 6 kingdoms were originally founded as far-flung and remote colonies.

Blizzard needs to seize the opportunity to give us a glimpse at the glory of Ancient Arathor, before the fall. I expect Avaloren to be the “Suramar” of the Humans. A sprawling metropolis that gives us clear insight into the ancient glories of the Arathor Empire.
