I want people to want things that aren’t just carbon copies of things that exist already. Then maybe, blizzard will want to make those things…
Especially the alliance. Y’all need unique, diverse races. Not a flavor of human who’s only difference is that they’re catholic. You can role play yourself as an arathi character.
I feel like people really want blizzard to take away the small amount of effort it takes to make a little story about your character that’s just for you. You see it with the high elf/void elf thing a lot.

I just think the allied race thing has gone too far. Waiting for a new race. I’m assuming the difference is new races don’t share style with old ones.

Different races.
Most of the races have just been slight variations of current ones. Perhaps it is because they are easy to animate or something.
They need to just drop the allied race nonsense.
If Arathi are to be “playable,” then whatever unique characteristics they would have (lightbound or otherwise) should just be rolled into the human customizations. You should also be able to modify your body size instead of being a “Kul Tiran.” If you want to be specifically Arathi, Kul Tiran, etc then wear their themed gear or put it in your headcanon/RP addon.
It’s fine to write the game’s narrative from a specific perspective. The playable human from a story perspective are Stormwind recruits. If you want to imagine your character as something else, you can ignore the default story or make up a reason that you were involved with Stormwind. We don’t need to make an “allied race” to say that you’re from a different clan.

Arathi are…just humans. They spread out to form the different kingdoms. The only difference between them and Stormwind humans are political. Since Arathor doesn’t exist anymore and split up into different kingdoms.
Lothar was the last of Thoradin’s bloodline, not the last Arathi. The Arathi are…just humans.

But seriously i think theyll usher in a new spec rather than a new race.
except for Vulpera which is an entirely a different race but use the Goblin skeleton as its base, or the Kul Tiran which is just humans but uses an entirely exclusive skeleton not used by any other playable race, allied races are just races that use other skeletons of the older ones or new skeletons but the same race as the available ones.
