AQ40 too easy and AQ20 easier than ZG!

AQ40 is a joke! We were expecting some kind of challenge, but nope it was all easy mode! Princess HUHUran is a tank and spank! WTF! Twin Emps we wiped a few times…but it’s a 2hr Raid now. It might be about BWL difficulty maximum and bosses up to twin empowers are MC difficulty! What a terrible mistake has been made when it comes to tuning this difficulty!!

AQ20 we on shot every boss.

Anyone remember when Blizzard used to provide challenging content that appealed to players?

My guild ran practice on our own private server set with the original Vanilla content Patches and it was quite challenging. Then on live it’s tank and spank. Believe me Classic is not the same difficulty as Vanilla.

God, you people are so pathetic. Just not as pathetic as the content in classic. The notion that these bosses were going to be hard was laughable. You guys could try retail lfr if you want a step up in challenge.

All private servers were guesstimates at best…not saying Classic is 100% as I have seen things that I do not remember seeing in Vanilla 15 years ago, but then again, 15 years is a long time to remember minor details.

No its not “easier”, we all just know what to expect 100% down to detail from retail WoW. Why are you surprised its so easy with all the knowledge of it after 15 years?

The reason it was challenging 15 years ago, was due to lack of websites that would tell you everything and a journal with mechanics listed. Blizzard didn’t tell you how to handle it - you figured it out on your own. Now Wowhead, fatbossTV, ect all tell you everything so it should be expected that its joke content. Nothing is a mystery in classic WoW, and nothing will be “difficult” in TBC either.

Blizzard themselves said private servers did NOT capture the spirit of vanilla difficulty 100%, it was all guessed numbers. They never disclosed the exact coding that made it as hard as it was. All those private servers you had were never correct to vanilla scaling. They were either more over-tuned or less-overtuned.

But Blizzard does provide challenging content for players… in retail. The 16 year old game is a museum piece.

Nothing will feel challenging when you have addons spoon feeding you all of the information in addition to dozens of guides, articles, and videos explaining everything down to the finest details.

If you wanted it to be challenging you should’ve been in one of the top guilds in actual Vanilla when people didn’t even know what a boss’s full loot table was and people couldn’t optimize their gear and farm all resistances months ahead of time.

Naxx should quite a step up. The first 5 bosses in AQ all have less HP than rag. And nef has 2.7 mil, C’thun has 2.3mil minus tentacles and stuff.

In Naxx, Thadius has 7 mil, loatheb 3.8, gothik 2.3, 4hm 2.4 combined, KT, 3.2. not saying Naxx will be mythic to BWL’s LFR. But Naxx was the first “real” raid in the history of wow. They built on the Naxx raid encounter design in BC and later expacs. It’ll feel a lot less trivial, even if it’s still easy.

These numbers are off.

Logs can confirm Nefarian has 2.17 million. C’thun is correct.

I can’t link things but Gothik has 400,000 HP. That phase 2 is over in no time. Thaddius is correct, Loatheb has 5.5 million. Four Horsemen and Kel’Thuzad are roughly correct.

I read those numbers earlier today, it’s possible I’m/they’re wrong. I’ll look for a link.

Either way Naxx bosses have double the HP and more than one mechanic. It’ll feel more like a “real” raid

3.8 million is exactly how much Patchwerk has, so they probably mixed up Loatheb and Patchwerk.

I mean… Looks like your guild raid (which didnt include you) wiped for over an hour on Twins then gave up on Aq around 1 am.

Keep in mind the gear from AQ40, and especially naxx, is far better optimized for specific classes and roles than BWL and MC gear. Additionally the stat budgets become nothing short of absurd.

I suspect, for a raid fully/almost-fully AQ40 geared, bosses in Naxx will drop as fast as AQ40 bosses are now…mostly.

The exceptions are those bosses with mechanics that force low DPS uptime. High movement bosses, or those with phases where you can’t even hit the boss, of which there are only a few. Most of Naxx will probably be a farm festival, with a few lengthy bosses.

The real time-eater of Naxx is its geometric size and layout. AQ40 is larger, but mounts and a linear layout make it feel smaller than Naxx.

then u practiced on a earlier patch. Its also a 15 year old game and almost everybody playing classic is min maxing with all the info available. 15 years ago we already didn’t know about the requirement for nr. Everybody was not best in slit or almost best in slot.

So I’m not entirely sure why the surprise.

Oh yeah of course. Again im not saying Naxx will truly difficult, just more difficult than the other raids in classic, which isn’t saying much lol
