Do a raid tuned for 20 people with 40 people rather than have it properly balanced for 20??
Still haven’t gave the name of your sod character or linked logs to your aq clear.
The raid had several bugs that made it impossible to progress after a wipe, fank was overtuned for 20 people, and cthun was and still is overtuned for 20 people.
You had 27 people for a 20 person raid. And your group still wiped on cthun.
Imagine crying and complaining so much because you are not able to pug new end game content on week 1 of release with unbuffing/consuming people. It’s not the devs that are out of touch, it’s litterally all the people who are playing who expect to be able to one shot everything without putting In any amount of effort towards progression. None of these people would have lasted a single raid back in vanilla or even classic and it shows. crying because they want retail style raid finder loot piñatas with decreasing difficulty every time they die.
If your group is not buffing, consuming , getting appropriate gear/resistance gear
or able to do they proper rotation without button mashing , should 100% not be clearing content. Learn the game instead of expecting free loot, if it’s too hard you can always put more people and do 30 players instead , there is your nerf. There is a reason why blizzard is allowing to run a 30 person group for a 20 man dungeon. It’s to help the pugs get kills, while allowing a semblance of a challenge for the more hardcore playing people, but the bads rather complain about everything is “too hard for pugs”
Groups that have 20 players that all have been purple and orange parsing every past raid tier, full BiS from bwl, full consumes, full wb’s, filled with people that have cleared original aq 40 several times weren’t able to complete aq before the nerf and bug fixes. Nobody is arguing pugs should one shot every boss first week with no wb’s or consumes parsing greens.
Most of these type of groups of the sweatiest players are just bringing more than 20 people because they can clearly see some fights (fank was and cthun still is) were overtuned for 20 people.
Just link your logs or give the name of your sod character. Let us see how easy it was for you and maybe we will learn something.
What if the content is hard for the sake of being hard? I for one am okay with normalizing the idea that not every single lockout is going to be completed. A lot of guilds didn’t get past Fankriss, many on Twins or C’Thun. That’s okay, they’ll do what they can, gear up along the way, and master the fights. I don’t know why everyone expects to full clear the very first lockout of a new raid release. If you want to do that, put in the effort. It’s clearable, many guilds have done it. So can yours if you guys just work together and improve together.
I would agree, but also it’s not like the bugs were the only cause for many guilds failing. The twins are fine, Fankriss is fine. People just couldn’t clear it. The only issue with C’Thun is the double spawning small eye tentacles and those are killable too.
Gongs despawn once you start attempts on twins Hardmode. Got them to 5% with 20 people. Wanted more time on cthun so we attempted to go back to normal. No luck.
Will go back Sunday, hopefully kill emps hard mode with everyone world buffed. Otherwise we will need to wipe 15x for the player deaths. If we do kill emps Hardmode, hopefully gongs respawn as there is no way we are doing cthun Hardmode. Fight is cooked.
Fankriss with 20 people, which is what they promote this content as being tuned around, was definitely too tight. Not by much, but definitely the case. But players can just solve the problem by adding more players …but thats another challenge with game attrition.
Same with Cthun, everything else is just bugged. I agree.
We have to remember the timing of this being seasonal, short lived content, and probably content that people dread the most in classic wow (given how fast pop dropped in 2019). Strategically, having too much friction right now will magnify existing friction. Having guilds unable to clear for weeks would be suicide given how fast their content release schedule is.
But also, we could just skip this tier and it would have very little impact on a guild’s ability to clear naxx so there is that.
people should stop complaining about 20yr old content… doing TBC level damage… if you cant do it now you couldnt do it 20yr ago so this game is not for you move on, i heard they need people in stardew valley
20yrs ago, they had different hp and mech. It is adjusted based on what we have now, and this adjustment failed to meet players’ expectations today. You can clear taq with 40 ppl 20 years ago, which means nothing today.
