that’s not a real solution, that might happen but again no decent guild is going to wait 6+ months for someone to come “open the gates themselves” for mount

Talk to the few alliance still left on the server. Make arrangements. You have the benefit of 15 years of knowledge.

You are thinking of when they made that change that all AQ gate will be automatically opened from the start in wrath.
Earlier they made a chnage that gave you a time period and after it was reached the gate would open as a handicap to small servers.
I know it’s not a real solution I’m just saying what’s likely to happen. If you guys have been getting stuff ready that’s great, but if you haven’t expect a long wait because people going for the mount are going to be pretty patient before they transfer and there’s also a very likely chance your server isn’t going to be the one they transfer to. I’d say incendius has a better shot at getting the transfers coming for the mount then skeram.

Personally, I would be quite happy if all the super-hardcore gogogogo obsessive raid players transferred off the smaller realms and left the rest of us alone.

The dominant factions will have to use alts to feed the counter on the other side. I better not see anyone complaining about this because you created this problem in the first place. You ruthlessly bullied and grieved the smaller faction to the point that they couldn’t play the game AT ALL and had to flee the realm. Your scorched earth policy where you deliberately destroyed the enemy faction created this hole.

I literally don’t think that’s true.
The matter of fact is currently at this state is
- Biggest horde guild might transfer off the server
- Cuddly can’t do it unless the top 3-4 horde guilds step in to help.
- No one is currently sharing ANY factual/truthful information on anything.
Basically we understand that we can open the gates if every single person makes an alliance to funnel mats, however that is not what is going on.
However, if we had alliance on our server and no1 xferd due to blizzard being greedy, then we would simply have gates opened very quickly obviously.
Solution you ask? Basically we all just transfer and the server goes to garbage … exactly what blizz wants.
Shame for servers like stalagg and skeram. All the sweaty horde guilds that made phase 2 unlayable for the alliance have all transferred to servers with more enemy faction they could attack. Anyone left on those likely doesn’t care much about WPVP, cant transfer for whatever reason, or don’t want to transfer and clog up the other servers.
We have quite a few stalagg and skeram guilds on my server, doing what they did in P2, but we don’t have a gimped alliance population from the free transfers so its not that big of a deal.
They should open free transfers from Incendius alliance to stalagg/skeram alliance. Most of the sweaty honor farmers are likely gone at this point, and if you could get a decent alliance population to transfer over at once it could be a decent medium pop server.

Yes, default auto-open was added in wrath. The time-gated auto opening was added to the new servers released for TBC. Won’t be a part of vanilla in any form if they stay true to it.
Doesn’t take an elite raiding guild to get the key made. And you only need one. I’m sure even if the biggest guild on your server transfers off, the second will still be able to manage.
As far as the war supplies, none of that requires any grouping. Get in touch with the Alliance leaders and call a truce. You won’t kill them while they mine thorium, and they will accept donations on the Neutral AH and promis to use those supplies for the war effort.
All that’s left is putting in the time collect a mountain of bandages.
A challenge for sure, but not one that is insurmountable.
Insurmountable enough that Naxx will be released or later before these servers see AQ open. You’re being exceptionally obtuse, especially knowing how long servers went unlocked in Vanilla/TBC, and knowing people will have the option of up and leaving servers with horrid progression.
This isn’t a moment to “git gud” or show true grit or any other such nonsensical garbage. With a semi-accelerated release schedule, any server that can’t open the gates before Naxx release is effectively dead.

but really how are people going to pay $50 to go to a low pop sever and ninja the mount if the gate’s never open?
