What is blizzard’s plan to address AQ gates? Currently, all guilds from dead servers will just transfer and ultimately make the mega-servers even more full. With P5 only 2-3 months away it would be nice to hear blizzard’s response, whatever solution they may have in mind (or if they’re fine with this scenario of a few servers just dying).

In 1.12 there was already a system that opened AQ gates automatically after a certain period of time has passed.

Right, but waiting many months for auto-complete to trigger would not be an option for most guilds. Most will want to see the content right away.

They’ll likely have at least one dedicated Horde guild with an Alliance alt guild ready to go.

Then yes, they have the option to simply transfer off of a small population server if they do not like small population server problems.

Most guilds will transfer to higher pop servers, which is why I’m hoping blizzard would want to address this early in someway, to prevent many guilds from transferring and creating more server queue/population problems

Funneling mats to the other team is easy enough.

Well, it’s an issue for the few established Alliance guilds that will end up getting robbed.
I mean some are probably going to take a little longer, but then you would have a little incentive to get people to come to your server and that’s the mount.

There are 5+ servers that will never see AQ gates open before naxx release, you dont see this as a problem?

Well, of being the primary or biggest contributor on the Alliance side is my guess. They’re essentially the sole backbone of the Alliance on the server, and Horde alts are kind of stealing that.
If you want AQ gates opened, you have to do the work. That isn’t being robbed. That is just the cost.
My server is 85% Alliance and I know the top guild plans on rushing the opening by any means possible.
If you feel that is too much work, then don’t do it.

There is going to be people who transfer to the servers that take longer to open gates just so they can get the mount I would bet money on it.

Possibly, but that won’t be guilds that actually want to complete the content in the first week/s. They’ll go to another server that already has plans to open and create more faction imbalance, server queues, and possibly bring layering to more servers.
Well it isn’t clear what you are referring to.
Are you saying the massive horde guilds will do the alliance effort as well? So the smaller Alliance guilds won’t get to contribute?
Nonsense. This is a 15 year old game. If it is that important to you, you’ve had a year and a half to prep for it.
