How does opening a ticket help you TODAY blizzard?
If they can keep you banned long enough to get it themselves and experience that moment, they win.
Doesn’t matter what the actions are afterwards. nothing will make it as it were for the people banned unjustly in the first place. by the time these people get their accounts back, the event will be a bust for them.
THINK ABOUT THIS
The system might just be there to help, and you guys will look into it if people open tickets, but the fact this can be used and was being used in AV before this incident.
well actually before the massive transfer i was never chat muted. The way it work you actually dont get a email highlighting what you said that was wrong but a confirmation that you were reported many time for language.
So this is not a false narrative or are you one of those that benefit from denying the narrative. I believe the Meta-narrative would be that you get reported than in the morning a gm email you the GAMER WORD that you said. It was the case in WOD
Having your chat restricted is a little different than having your account BANNED. If unique player reports for spam reach a report over time threshold, then that account will be squelched. Following GM review, the squelch will be removed or upgraded into a silence.
Players cannot ban other players with reports unless something has changed very recently.
Your threshold is how many people are doing it? If a handful do it, no big deal, but if those friends have many friends, it suddenly becomes bad?
If it isn’t bad for the 2-3 it isn’t bad for the 20-30.
Welcome to PvP on PvP servers with hostile NPCs. It isn’t “zone disruption” when those guards specifically chase you to the ends of the earth on purpose.
He very much does, which places himself in the moral center of “good” and anyone that disagrees firmly in the moral center of “bad”
Are you being intentionally stupid or are you being serious?
What don’t you understand about someone pulling Cenarion Hold guards into the hive?
No combat took place in or near Cenarion Hold. The guards are being kited into the hives with the intent of using the guards to kill the opposite faction. No pvp is taking place where they would ordinarily intervene.
This is not PVP on a PVP server as you so ignorantly put.
Agree to that. Blizzard consistently drops the hammer on people that try to abuse reporting systems like that and the people salty about competition and so forth trying to hurt other players should absolutely suffer consequences for it.
I don’t disagree. My point is “fixing” the AQ event might work well for some players, and ruin it for others. Every “fix” in classic has had unintended consequences. The also have to balance things between people who want to see a “better” version of classic, and those who are strict #nochanges. There no scenario where blizz comes out on top.
There is a 5 day window after the war effort completes, then the 10 hour event starts. This means players can be targeted with RCR to auto-ban them for the extent of the 10 hour event. What is the plan to prevent this? With the information we have now, it sounds like griefers will get exactly what they want as people, especially scepter holders, won’t be able to attend the 10 hour event. Will RCR be turned off before the event, or will Blizzard dedicate themselves to overturning RCRs within an hour, even if they occur over the weekend or night hours?
This is an issue that troubled me in many occasions.
There is not real answer to it, it would take a real investigation by a Game Master and such an investigation should be done in a relative report.
It could be some player just being odd and on-the-spot communicate with the enemy faction to screw his own faction up.
And that’s just twisted fun.
BUT it could be something more sinister like and alt account in the opposite faction to sabotage the game.
This has to do and should be resolved by game masters.
There is no such thing as an auto-ban from right-click player reports. There was one video of the recorder being suspended as they pulled a boss, this was a coincidence. Blizzard already responded to that situation here:
Imagine believing that Blizzard has an automatic banning system in place for right-click player reports because why, you think they’re too cheap to hire GMs? This system has never been shown to work against bots, even as people report them en masse outside of instances. This system apparently only works on innocent people who are being abused by false reports.
Players complained for months that “reports do nothing!” and now after one video that doesn’t even show any evidence of an auto-ban surfaces, apparently those “do nothing reports” can just automatically ban people.
My faith in humanity has seriously reached an all time low after reading the conspiracy theories on this forum and elsewhere.
you are simply wrong and reporting misinformation. Mass reporting does work which is why they had to come out about people being mass reported and banned automatically without even a gm looking at it. stop spreading false info.
