AQ 20. Rogue & Hunter Farm. 200-900g an Hour

So after going down a rabbit hole I discovered the best possible gold making method coming soon in phase 5. This method I believe is only going to be completed by rogues and hunters. Rogues will finally get their chance at least for the first couple weeks to make more gold than mage farms.

The entire farm is centered around farming Silicate Feeders in AQ 20 to obtain there Larval acids, Idols, Scarabs and greens.

Rogues will have it easier as they don’t need the raid cleared like hunters do as they can stealth and vanish when in danger.

32 Total Silicate Feeders:
11% Larval Acid Drop Chance - 3 per run at 10g each = 30g
80% Scarab Drop Chance - 25 per run at 3g each = 75g
10% Idol Drop Chance - 3 per run at 30g each = 90g
2-3 Green Items per run = 10g

205g Total Per Reset.
( my math might be off a little on larval acid as you might get more than I’m predicting which would push this method even higher gold per hour)

These overall prices will go down 20-30% total as the phase continues on and more people do this farm though mid phase this should still be 150g+ hunters and 500g+ rogues.

For hunter’s you want your raid to clear everything besides Ayamiss the Hunter boss. Then you can come in here after raid night and kill just the silicate feeders. After you kill them you leave the instance and after about 50 minutes being outside they will respawn. Therefore you only spend about 10 minutes to do a fast clear of the feeders then log onto someone else making it 200g+ for 10 min of work.

Rogues will be able to do this just like ZG mages do. They have a friend or alt in the group and convert to raid. They can easily clear 4 runs per hour with resetting it each time which gives them a huge advantage. Be sure to take your time learning the path at first to get there as you will most likely need to vanish 3-5 times.

Let me know if you tried this back in private servers days or if anything will change. From all the research I did this method and drop rates should be accurate making this the soon to be new meta for gold farming.

You’re out of your mind if you think you’re going to break 200g/hour average as a rogue or hunter.

People were saying the same thing about ZG and selling bijous. Didn’t happen. Only thing mages can make that kind of gold from is from selling boosts.

I used to do this farm on my mage in Vanilla so definitely not just a hunter/rogue farm.

Good instructions on how to get to farm area on wowhead:

Ya that is the comment I used to spark the thought of researching more and talking with others Once it releases I will have to test out and find a great route to do it by first trying the comments instruction then testing other ways to speed things up

If this becomes a common farm I think the price of all these items are going to tank. I could be wrong.

30g for aq20 idols? absolutely no way.

No, no. Spot on. They will be nigh worthless.

Mages will always be op for sure with their boosting. Though I don’t see how it wouldn’t make that type of money?

At least for first couple weeks until prices drop.

Factoring worse case numbers low prices and less than average drop rates.

Idols 10g each. 4 runs x 2 Each run. =80g
Larval acid 5g each x4 runs x 4 each run = 80g
Scarabs 1g each x 4 runs x 10 each run = 40g
Greens 5g each x 4 runs x 2 greens each run= 40g.

So if you use those numbers which are half there market value prices and half the drop rate that is still 240g an hour.

Maybe I’m wrong I’m open for feedback on your thoughts?

If you’re hitting 240g/hour it’ll be very short lived. Prices will drop on all of those probably within the first week and you’ll struggle to sell anything even then with people flooding the market.

The price of bijou’s dropped like a rock after the first 4 days, AQ stuff will be the same. It’s not going to stay viable.

I agree a lot of prices will drop fairly quick and is important to be there the first couple days for max profits. Though with zg I feel like 90% of ppl have an alt mage to farm. I don’t think as many people have an alt rogue to farm though I could be wrong on that. Either way the prices will see a large dip after a week or two The people that show up early and stay late with reap rewards

As of right now there’s a lot of gold and nothing to spend it on. Demand is gonna be hot for the first 2 weeks at least. The thing about ZG is everyone could run it and then they ran it again on alts.
Whose to say AQ will have as many capable people to do it. its possible the demand will be as high as ZG but it won’t be as easy for the general playerbase resulting in a massive dip in supply.

Even if there are a lot of rogues farming it they still might not be able to keep up with the initial demand.

Until the bots ruined the gig I was making 300 per hr farming bloodvine on my rogue. The op makes a good point, maybe it will perform as good as he says for a time. The early adopters will make a killing. Every servers economy is unique, so who knows.

You mean mages and hunters…

Maybe it’ll be worth it for the first month but I think DMT will always be the superior hunter farm.

Ya first month is where it’s at then back to dm e for hunters for sure

Refer to bijou/coin prices…I think you are way off.

These are 10g each on your server for real?

Ya I agree prices will crash but for first week when ppl want their gear asap they pay more just zg. Idols will vary in price depending on what gear it’s for.

With larval acid I actually estimate half it’s drop rate so u should get double what I thought. So even if it drops to 3g each should still be good for awhile. I def think the first two weeks will be best then crash like zg for sure

those scarabs will be worth next to nothing.

AQ20 was equally easy as ZG on Vanilla, let alone this shell of Vanilla we call Classic.
And AQ20 idols will be even more worthless than Bijous right off the bat.
