I miss the old days when Blizzard would give us an epically hilarious (and sometimes believable) April Fools. Sometimes these jokes were so nuanced that people raged over the possibility of them being true.
They released their annual April Fools joke…wowhead:
at least its in the form of an actual patch datamine, not just blue text
they spent more time working on april fools stuff than the actual bfa
Nope that was wowhead’s April Fools, the official blizz one hasn’t been posted yet AFAIK. It’s usually a blog post or forum post.
it took me a minute to figure why my retail priest Im leveling is now lvl 60 ( was 82) and has an equipment slot with a wand equipped I didn’t have yesterday. They got me for a sec, it was early and the coffee had not kicked in yet
They switched us to classic, sorta
Sadly my dh main looks normal ):
That might be Dejacharacterstats built in AF joke; ran into that this morning. Verified it’s the addon not official.
ahhh well that makes sense
it was cute
Ohhhh this explains why my Blood Elf had a dress on when I entered a BG! Wondered how that happened. GG Blizz
Yeah I included wowhead in my post - it should have read “at least wowhead posted theirs.” But really not in the mood atm to edit. /shrug
It doesn’t surprise me in the least that bizz dropped the ball this year…at least up to this post time anyway - pretty much par for the course of this entire xpac.
How did blizz drop the ball? I thought their april fools jokes came out at reset.
That’s my guess too, I’m still waiting for Hardcore mode playable wisps that explode on death.
You realize WoWhead is not blizz right? This was Wowheads doing, not blizzes…
This year was actually more believable than previous years. Had me fooled up till the surfboards.
Edit: I am speaking of wowhead apparently.
sadness abounds it seems
Remember when they announced pandas as an April fools joke… oh wait
Well it’s reset and I haven’t found it yet.
You miss the “old days” of…last year? Anyway, I’ve read that a lot of companies are skipping their April Fools’ stuff this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
