I just hope that the changes in question, if they are indeed forthcoming, won’t just be limited to nerfing Fire into the ground thus resulting in ALL 3 mages specs languishing in mediocrity. After all historically the only times Blizzard listen to player feedback about mage specs it’s been from other classes calling for nerfs… 
Also, you know they have no idea what they want to do with either Frost or Arcane. I’ve lost track of the number of times their mastery has been changed drastically over the years in the hopes of making the specs work but of course to avail. Or the last time there was a fun and viable build for either (the Frozen Orb build was just a fluke that players figured out in their desperate attempts to salvage the hopeless Azerite system).
