I mean what would it need? Last I checked its talents stink for dps and was mainly used for fire immune raids early era. Even then only one mage would be specced winters chill and everyone else would be specced arcane power and cast frostbolt.

I mean if DPS meters are what you’re after choosing spriest would be rather bizarre. They’re barely above frost and arcane.
They aren’t under tank DPS like Arcane and Frost as well as having a ton of utility to balance it out and are insane in PvP, maybe its just a personal choice

His complaints were largely about dps so that’s why I said that. They’re very good in pvp and do provide utility. However, I transferred servers on my spriest and was looking for a guild and nobody wanted a spriest, they wanted me to heal.
Eh you can at least find a raidspot as Winter’s Chill FFB mage. No you’re not gonna pump like the Fire FFB (which you’re buffing massively with +10% crit, while they keep Imp Scorch up for you) but you do decent if you know how to use FoF Ghost Charges and Cold Snap for 2x IV and DF.
I am not sure that is a good argument for Frost staying very low damage because they can provide a niche buff that only helps if you are stacking 2-3 Fire FFB mages. Better to just stack melee that will deal WAY more damage.
I do like the idea of fire mages and frost mages buffing each other and running FFB and that interaction seems really cool.
I’m not saying it’s an argument, I’m saying at least you can find a raid spot which is at least better than p1 & p2 lol. Definitely needs buffs, mainly to Ice Lance.
Ah, I see what you mean, Sorry for my misunderstanding. I think you would struggle to find a raid with enough mages to make it a compelling spec to bring but definitely an improvement over the first two phases.
I’d love an icicles rune or something if they aren’t willing to adjust icelance damage values, a buff to FoF proc rate, a buff to IV, and I think Frost could be in a great spot.
