Can someone explain how I apply dots properly on all targets as an Assassin rogue? Let’s say tank pulls a pack of ten, I am in stealth, into an ambush on main target, and followed by garrote + rupture. Can I just spam garrote and rupture on the main target and it’ll apply to all mobs without dots or do I need to tab target and apply the dots?
That Garrote, and rupture synergy(Carnage or something) talent generally works with that one aoe bleed ability that was on the left side of the assassin tree previously, that and getting poisons out with FoK haven’t played rogue this expac so dunno how much they fare. ( and have not played the class in a bit kinda forgot the names)
From stealth you don’t really need to tab target you’ll get plus two on garrote and rupture but if you do switch targets to one that doesnt have it you get plus 3. So no you don’t have to unless you don’t have IC up.
While I was grinding heroics this weekend, my typical open, with Fatebound,:
Garrote>Mutilate>Rupture>Crimson Tempest
I’m not sure what mechanic is happening, but the Rupture would generate enough CP to go right into a Crimson Tempest. 5-7 cp depending on the size the of pack how tight they were grouped.
The point is you don’t have to tab target every mob. It’s just not possible. Get at least one Garrote and one Rupture on the first target. Try for a second target if it’s possible.
Ambush-Garrote-Rupture-Rupture(cause of bone spike cleaving)-Garrote-Mutilate-FoK-Tempest-FoK and Envenom spam = huge dam
You can garrote and rupture the same target the entire time cause it’ll spread them to targets that don’t already have them, as long as IC is up ofc.
Serrated bone spike passive in rupture gives cp
