Appearing Offline feature with WoW help

Hi All, I have clients and people at my company on my bnet friends list and I don’t want them to see me playing WoW all the time especially when shadowlands comes up.
They are cross realm not in guild or anything.
My question is, if I select appear offline in battlenet when I’m in WoW and I queue up for dungeons or raids will they be able to still get notfications toasts that I’m queued up and playing in quick join?
If so is there anyway I can turn that off or block them from being able to see me via quick join?
If they are cross realm can they see me online in general?

Probably wise to not add colleagues, but

If you have two friends on bnet, and one has you and the other friend on bnet, and you both join a group together, they can hover over the suggest invite button and see you both in a party together.

Just don’t join any partys with any buddys that have the colleagues added on bnet and you should be safe

There are two different visibilities at play here - the launcher and the game itself.
The launcher only limits visibility outside of a game. In a game, any friends will know you are on as they are ‘friended’. If you really don’t want people to know you are online, unfriend them completely.

Gotcha, so if I have appear offline checked and I’m in WoW and they are in WOW cross realm and I queue up for a mythic + they won’t be able to see me pop up in quick join that I queued?

As long as you don’t queue the same M+, or join any buddys group that share friends.

I learned this last week when a friend was appearing offline, I hovered over request invite, saw him in the group.
