No mage tower, but AOTC mount and mythic trial of valor ensemble? Mage tower was a challenge when released sure, but if you did it in late 7.3 with full antorus gear it was a joke.

Edit- I just find the logic inconsistent. IF anything should return it should be the MAGE TOWER SKINS

This was probably the best thing they could have done. Should have done it for Panda Remix too.

Originals would be the least effort for Blizzard, recolors would be the least bother for people who apparently feel special with the originals.

Yeah i understand why they wouldnt bring back the mage tower stuff, but saying they wont while also bringing back harder time sensitive content rewards is just baffling to me.

Theres no consistency here.
Of course the community is going to keep asking if blizzards own standards are this messy.

I could pay 25k for my raid carries - I would have had to do mage tower myself. So yes mage tower was harder than going AFK.

There is also the fact they already did it for Guardian Druids, withe the Blight of the Grizzlewmaw form, and to a lesser extent the Runebear form.

Actually current mage tower is broken because of busted scaling and the only way to beast it on most specs is with stacking darkmoon symbosis/radiance builds,

ARguable the best time do to mage tower was at the end of legion
