Appearances removed for Legion remix

Blizzard confirmed that the mage tower appearances for Legion Remix will not be obtainable. I know a lot of people were hoping they would come back but looks like we are out of luck

Not sure why. They didn’t do the CM sets for MoP Remix so this was incredibly predictable.

Predictable, yes…a good decision, no.

Making the best weapon appearances in the game (for some classes) locked out indefinitely is not a good call.

I could give or take Challenge Mode appearances, but this is something completely different…especially for Druids

Well, that’s why they got their felbear bonus reward for MT 2.0.

If anything the weird decision was that they’re adding the AotC bird back in when they didn’t do that for MoPmix.

My position is what it’s always been: killing the integrity of time-limited rewards degrades incentive to play the game while it’s current instead of just steam-rolling things years later, which ultimately degrades incentive to play the game at all as far as I’m concerned.

It’s one appearance out of thousands. It’ll be fine.

Paying for a carry to afk at the start of the dungeon and outgearing to one shot a target dummy was not skill based.

I don’t know why this narrative keeps getting pushed out. This whole ultimate skill talk is an excuse for people who want to keep their precious prestige meme.

i remain absolutely baffled at the decision to keep these appearances (along with cm transmog) out of the hands of players when a simple pallet swap would suffice

example: amani war bear. there are not one but TWO recolors of this once “prestigious”, limited-time, skill-based reward in the game that are piss easy to obtain

If you were a raider fully decked out in Antorus gear, and for specific challenges, sure.

Plenty of people still pushed themselves to finish the challenges. There were folks pressing up until the last hour to try and get them down.

No kidding right? Druids got a special affordance with a recolor on their weapon (shapeshift), while every other class got armor only. And they wonder why we’re pissed. Wonder if they’ll go back on their word of Classic not merging with retail once the Devs playing Classic have gotten everything they need from it and are ready to shut the servers off again. Because that’s what it feels like.

Lets also not forget, Blizzard picks winners and losers with Classes and some had it hyper easy.

My Warlock who PVPed in Classic just recently got for free all of the HWL and Grand Marshal Weapons. EVEN items she can’t equip. But for some reason they claim Mage Tower is the same, even as they give players the Violet Spellwing.

There’s something people aren’t understanding. It doesn’t make sense to include Legion apparences challenges or Mop Challenge Sets in Remix because this event is designed to ensure you get all the rewards at the end, and it’s a short-term event. Healers literally do top DPS like in Mop Remix, so what’s the point of adding old rewards that require skill to complete? None.
