Zovaal warned us that we are not prepared for what is to come…
Very ominous.
But apparently that was retconned into Zovaal doesn’t even know what is to come to begin with.
So he was warning us about something he doesn’t know. Very open ended, it allows the developers to basically say anything at this point of “what is to come”, if anything or nothing is coming.
And also the first ones were retconned into “myth”. Meaning they might exist, or they might not exist. So, this basically means the developers can say at a later time they did not exist, or they were the Titans all along.
Now they just need to retcon the Winter Queen is Elune’s sister because the Winter Queen is actually a robot, like all of the Shadowlands gods, so that would mean Elune is also a robot unless it is retconned.
Also I really wish people would stop parroting the stupid robot bit.
Questing in Zereth Mortis made it clear that the Eternals were powerful souls inhabiting anima-created bodies, a theme that was set up by the Maldraxxi and their constant body swapping and augmentation.
The Shadowlands gods were once alive, and so is Elune now.

Given how the Titans and literally every other pantheon refers to each other as “brother” or “sister” it’s likely that #5 is the actual definition being used, as in they are related by being created in the same order of creation, they are all pantheons/gods.
Heck in the same vein it could be #2.
Given Elune shagged a stag Wild god and produced a Cenarius, who’s to say it isn’t a relative by marriage case either?
This was the subject of a Bellular video from a day or so ago. OP probably watched it, most likely. I didn’t watch the video, but I saw the thumbnail of a derpy looking Jailer. It is called “Shadowlands Killed Warcraft, So Blizzard Just Retconned It.”
And this folks…is why you should use your OWN thinking, not follow whatever anyone says on the internet. Unless your own thinking is just as feeble, then you should refer to MY thinking.
I figured. Bellular is tantamount to the tabloids of WoW. When things are good he’s all like “We’re so back!” and when things are down he’s all like “It’s Over.”
How about instead of saying ’ think for yourself and don’t listen to Bellular’ you all think for yourself and actually dispute the claim? Because you can’t think for yourselves either.
I dunno that it actually made it clear. I don’t remember at all but I, like most people, had checked out of the story by that point so I really don’t remember much of anything about Zereth Mortis questing.
The First Ones lore is dumb and the Gods of Death having 3D printed bodies isn’t really any better than them being 3D printed robots.
