Since Blizzard seems to be in the mood for adding some customizations, I think letting players use one apostrophe in their name would go a long way. Many races use apostrophes already. Many important lore characters use an apostrophe.
And to give Blizzard some incentive, beyond good will with their customers, imagine the $$ you’ll make with name changes!

Everyone should have the choice between one apostrophe, hyphen or space in their names.

It would make sense, wouldn’t it?
Just download TRP3. Your name is only viewable to players that also have the addon, but as far as little aesthetics like that are concerned it’s a pretty good addon for the RPers.
Prepare for a whole bunch of I’l’l’i’d’a’n’

Fine, a whole bunch of I’llidan and Ill’idan standing next to each other lol
I’m fine with it btw, I just like making fun of the Illidan people

Apostrophes are like potato chips.
You can’t have just one.

Has Blizz ever explained why we don’t have surnames? Seems like that would really open up naming options. Especially on high pop servers.

I’m not even usually allowed to have an apostrophe in my real name, I’ll be hecked if you get one in WoW

This is something I like about ,Lord of War and ,Lord of the Reins… both have commas and there’s only like two of them so they’re fairly unique, they also show some dedication as both take work.
I don’t think I would use that to split up e’a in my name
Yeah Blizz what the heck? Only demons are allowed apostrophes in their names?

Surnames are limiting. Not all races have them, not everyone wants one. But the option for a hypen, apostrophe or space gives people the choice of a surname, while giving others the choice of correct naming protocols for some races, too. It’s kind of a win win.

And spaces so we can have first and last names.
