Where can I find an accurate APM? I’m sick of sweating my butt off playing a class and seriously just want to faceroll. I’m too old for this. Rogue. Too fast. Boomkin. Too fast. Shaman. Too fast. Spam spam spam. F that.
Are you asking what a DPS spec is that has low attacks per minute? If so then I would suggest looking at Frost Death Knight.
Sim Craft has an APM break down:
https://www.simulationcraft.org/reports/T21_Raid.html
But looking at the list, I don’t think there’s a strong correlation between APM and how stressful a class is to play (although Frost DK is low APM and super easy).
But specs like BM Hunter are middle of the pack, but one of, if not the most faceroll spec in the game. And Aff & Destro are side by side, but Aff is far more stressful to actually play than Destro.
Idk if I would necessarily call BM “faceroll” is it easy? Sure. But keeping up the buff you can’t really face roll as it would waste your buff, now Havoc on the other hand is the perfect example of face roll as anything that needs to be pressed you can press on cd.
Yeah, as above poster just said, definitely go roll a BM hunter.
Low stress, not huge on button smash, tons of easy mobility. It is a good time.
If WoW had an easy mode. It would be BM hunter.
Cant bring myself to play it for this reason. I’m drawn to underdog specs.
Feral (before DF at least)
Frost DK

It’s face roll.
It is so face roll there is literally a WA that will tell you when to cast Barbed Shot. It plays the game for you. Even without the macro, Frenzy stack is the single mechanic BM Hunters have, and even if it does fall off, it isn’t the end of the world. Whereas if a Aff lock lets Agony drop? then you’re going to tumble down the DPS ladder.
I’ve got a love-hate affair with Elemental, can relate.
Near as I can tell from my own experience, “faceroll” classes/specs tend to go hand-in-hand with mashing buttons fast fast fast (usually melee classes), and the slower button mashing classes/specs tend to be harder to master (usually caster classes).
IMO there isn’t really a good class/spec that is both slow button mashing AND “faceroll”. But everybody has their own idea on what they think is easy or hard, so…
Having said all that, I agree w/ DH/BM for closest to what you’re looking for.
I personally favor havoc DH because it’s almost entirely transactional rotation. No combo points to deal with. No dots to keep up with (not entirely true… but not really the same as other classes/specs that heavily rely on bleeds/dots). Etc.
And I would say BM Hunter would be my next choice. But again, there’s no class that’s pure faceroll + slow burn.
Didn’t disagree that it isn’t easy, said it wasn’t face roll as I was talking literally face roll. If you literally face roll on BM you lose a ton of DPS, whereas Havoc you barely lose any dps.
Go to Classic. Everything is slow in there. Plus 1 or 2-button rotation exists in there.
Survival hunter is about as underdog as you can get.
They do alright. And they were S tier last few seasons. I do enjoy their play though
Fury warrior
WW is very much a whack a mole DPS spec after your opener is over, and outside of using your bigger CDs. It’s also super mobile, very tanky for leather, and has great utility.
It’s funny seeing Frost Mage in the top 1/3 in APM though. It’s obvious, but people prob wouldn’t guess it.
