Api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll missing error at launch

I’m getting this error when I start Wow.exe “The program can’t start because api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”

Just started with the latest patch (11.1), not happened before.
Wow still loads and works OK after I click OK to get rid of the error message box, so possibly this is being caused by the Wow.exe trying to run another separate program as it runs.

This is a Windows 7 issue, you can usually repair it by doing a file corruption scan or fetching the DLL from a website.

Microsoft hasn’t supported the OS for some time. Blizzard recently discontinued support for Windows 7 on Overwatch 2, so WoW may follow soon.
