For the love of God, do something about the spam in Raid Finder. It is out of control.

if its a guild with the 60+ toons doing it then nothing will be done
if its a website then something can be done about it

I know that is the policy for chat, but these people in Raid Finder are not advertising for runs in progress. They are one person advertising for future raids. They are using Raid Finder as a billboard ad. Raid Finder should be for filling raids. Not advertising future raids.

Blizzard can’t even set up automatic ban filters for anyone who makes thier name similar to blizzard in game. They either lack the ability or the care (both) to do anything to improve the game other than throw out a virtue signal “”""""“contract”"""""" and then wipe their hands clean of the whole mess.

They need to hire one mod position per server (work in shifts so there is always 1 mod with the ban hammer at the ready) that just sits there reading trade and handing out bans for improper use of LFG tools. Too hard for blizzard to think of i guess

Fortunately, there is still something that can be done since it is in LFG and not trade chat. No form of advertising is allowed in LFG. You can report these players by right-clicking their listing.

No! I still need to buy an aotc before monday!

gahhh I’m running out of time.

and Blizz should know this, and had people staffed accordingly… unless they’re an indie company.

We should just ban boosting

Yeah that bridge has sailed and they’re helping them sell the slime cat by putting a brand new chat channel in game for boost sales.

Edit: WOW haha “bridge has sailed”. Ship.

Looks like Blizz finally got around to checking. All the ads are gone. woohoo! thanks Blizz!

Blizzard doesn’t want to ban boosting, it promotes massive token sales.

The only reason they banned boosting communities is that many of them are involved in selling of gold illegaly through websites as well as even organized crime in many cases.

They absolutely want as many real players as possible selling boosts to people who buy tokens. Tokens = Money and as long as the gold being transacted isn’t breaching their rules (being sold for real money or items on websites or used to launder money IRL in a wash) then they couldn’t be happier about boosting.

But how will they make more profits off of wow tokens, and how will they make blizzard shills feel better about being blizzard shills as they bash lfr 0 effort rewards while promoting buying carries that you can afk and get rewarded with.

Working as intended ™️

Almost Everyone they sell blizzard makes a token sale. They are not going to kill the best source of revenue they have.

Remember that one time back 2-4 years ago or somewhere that time where they said they made more money off the cash shop than actual subscriptions and how the wow token was their best item. And then when you bring it up blizzard denies that anything involving increasing the sales of their best item is just a lie / rumor.

They just need to make tokens a in game currency and get it over with. We all know it headed there.

But the money bro. The 30-40k salary position that can be remote operated anywhere in the US. That’s just too much to expect out of anyone.

Make it an exclusive currency to trade and sell only for carries. That way they can continue putting nice rewards in normal or higher and even remove gear from LFR so you can pay $20 for each run when you need to gear up.
