AOTC Mounts on the Trading Post?

Because theres ten trillion items in the game. Just because you cant collect a couple of them doesnt mean the west has fallen. Get a grip.

Gatekeeping doesn’t explain it, since “time” isn’t a gatekeeper. Entitlement perfectly describes everyone who keeps going “but I should be able to get it”.

Nothing about this is about gatekeeping. It is literally just that ya’ll dislike being called entitled when ya’ll are acting like that. Oh and furthermore, here’s the thing about what you said here:

When something is available for a limited time that is part of the nature of that particular item. If it is something you can get by just being there, then it is rarely anyone will bat an eye at such a passive participation “reward”.

But the moment it requires active participation, and someone else keeps going “but I should have access to it afterwards when it is easier to do so” … yah’, then you pretty much can only describe that fairly as entitlement. Regardless of however much you want pretend that isn’t what it is.

So how do you feel about the potential for that mount to return as part of the Pandamonium SoO event coming back soon? Allowing people to obtain it the way it was originally obtained, in present day?

Man can’t see the forest through the trees. You assume everyone wants things easier and at a discount, not sparing a moment to think of how things like this could be recycled and allow for new players to get the items.

That is why I see your phrasing of entitlement as negative, because you preach from a high horse while slinging mud at people in this 20 year old game. lmao

No idea. It is certainly a weird thing. But I also always lean on waiting to know what gets implemented into the game before jumping to conclusions.

It is a neat thought but also ultimately impossible to do that. So it all depends and I don’t know what’s Blizzard’s plan. Everyone’s creating theories around it (some more insane than others), but not what Blizzard is actually doing with it yet. With that said, even with the Pandamonium theory being the most reasonable one this entire time, I will still wait until one knows anything for sure.

Precisely nothing of this matters. And I will continue to call entitlement for entitlement.

Spiteful glue eaters who have thousands of posts should spend a fraction of that time learning how to do a 4 button rotation so they don’t have to project their bitterness onto others. The same people complain about boosting sales even though it’s the only way that content is accessible to them due to their inability to play a video game at an elementary level.

If the mounts that i own are coming back, then i want a (smart) way to farm old (greyout) glad, raid, dgs mounts too.
To this day i never got a former unobtainable or tcg mount from drops and trading post, already had all of them, so i would not mind a way to farm the mounts in game that i cant obtain.

Ahh, so you just can’t engage a discussion unless it’s for you to cast judgement on others.

Good to know. Go touch some grass.

If it’s unobtainable then I have decided what’s best for me is they show up once in a while where the commoners can get it (i.e., not the BMAH). Even if it’s something I have that is one and done. Its just a digital thing, and eventually this game will die, and the digital thing will continue to mean nothing.

A solution that benefits both sides and a way they will probably recycle it is doing something with old raids during fated seasons/something around timewalking and let you have a go at the mounts that way (hopefully just a recolor as AOTC is AOTC for a reason). Probably for the best that we recently found out that it’s not on the trading post as players shouldn’t be spoonfed unobtainable items in an mmorpg despite the unfortunate support of this in this thread, even if it is a “dumb wolf” as someone kindly named it

Good news it that there’s lots of options available to players which is great. If players have FOMO, get the ATOC during the time of the event. If people want to have everything handed to them and support mobile game features in a subscription based mmorpg, buy a shiny new store mount. There’s a style for everyone.

Yep haha… oops.

  • Big yikes to the people like me for being against it even though it was never a thing (Basically punching air)

  • Big yikes to the people defending the future of unobtainable items philosophy

None of it mattered but I’m glad everyone was kind to eachother during the debate. :billed_cap:

Vocal majority. Otherwise they wouldn’t even bother. Sooner or later they will bend the knee though, as always. They know that this is a major mistake and they can’t hold the items back forever.

It will come one day though,
I hope Microsoft smart enough to make money and not listen to “prestige” ?? ?? AXD people.

It was never going on the Trading Post. The placeholder price on the item made that incredibly obvious. Blizzard had to clarify the incredibly obvious to entirely too many people.

Prestige should matter. And it’s “those” people that would be returning and making them money, which would be smart. Trying to diminish players accomplishments would be the stupid move and drive more players away.

There’s no incentive to try to earn a gladiator mount if it’s just gonna be purchasable later anyway. No one would care about it.

Trying to take away things that matter to players is kind of a big problem.

I’m so glad they’re not listening to players like you for once

It’s probably more like a price added by way of a bug. I seriously doubt they’re ever making that mount obtainable again.

Not really. All your achievements mean nothing to Blizzard. Nobody will ever remember you for ever “accomplishing” something in a video game, unless you’re the top 0.1%. When the server goes down, everything will be lost.

Read the EULA. You own none of your items.

Do you go to parties and tell people you got AOTC or Glad? Lol

You know, after all the recent announcements and clickbait that amounted to nothing, I was indifferent to the idea of something like AotC mounts coming back, but I’m glad Blizzard finally said that they’re not putting prestige rewards on the trading post because then people would be getting said rewards for virtually zero effort. Also, I was sick of “put mage tower appearances on trading post pls blizz” posts, and I wish they added that they’re not putting the brutosaur on it, either.
