Thank Blizzard for NOT bringing back prestige items. Luckily for people who are sad, you can still obtain prestige items in the future. Blizzard already confirmed Cataclysm classic so you have a chance to earn rare eilte pvp sets. I’m sure Mop will follow after and then you can get those elite sets and the challenge mode sets too. I think the how is very important. I’m in favor of restoring old ways of obtaining items, but bringing it back for purchase on the trading post would have been a mistake.
they are literally a piece of data stored in a server that will one day shut down and you’ll never be able to touch it again.
How is that memorabilia?
They are for as long as the servers are active, though. I don’t understand what the confusion about this is.

They took time and effort to complete. Me and my friends coordinated everything and wiped many times making many memories in the process. You can still get the items you seek in classic era servers. Stay salty

that’s not how memorabilia works tho. Their entire point is that they are a permanent (or as close as you know, matter is) reminder.
You can preserve a t-shirt, a toy, etc, to the best of your personal abilities, and the object may even gain value if enough people think it is memorable enough.
In game rewards… tick none of those boxes.
But the debate here is that people never got the chance to try tho.
Idk my challenge mode gear, elite sets and glad drakes are still in pretty okay condition.

This would be an argument if things earned in classic ear could be used in the retail servers.
And honestly, you totally should be able to.
They are permanent though…until the servers are permanently shut.
An item being a virtual item doesn’t take away how “real” it is considering most things can be bought with real money.
They absolutely do, just not for you.

Which is dumb. They should bring these things back and other removed items. I have the actual achievement to show I got it during MoP. Something that you wont get if you paid for it.
Also… literally no one ever sees these mounts and goes “OH SNAP HE GOT AOTC IN MOP!!! HES A GOD!! A GOD ISAY”
No one cares if you have the wolf mount from AOTC or Scarab Lord title or any of that other stuff anymore.
