Yeah, there is.
It is, but only one of them.

Because its a meaningless term that’s impossible to pin down. Most of these rewards end up being ‘Well I played the game back then’ which is just… dumb.
And then you have PVP rewards, which get special treatment for some ungodly reason. I can go farm the hardest raids of any expansion for transmogs, but even the best pvpers around… can’t? because PVP players whine about it.
Seasonal reward that we had early notice would later be unobtainable.
“I played back then” is not a reason.
Just because you disagree or don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not true, unfortunately.
I don’t think it’s dumb at all. I think it’s fun to see some players have been playing WoW for a long time. Those rewards (mounts, toys, etc.) is a way for them to let everyone know they were there when it was current content.
okay but why is that reason enough not to let modern players get them? Seriously, why do you think punishing people for not playing the game at x period is a good outcome?
Pro Tip: There isn’t.
It doesn’t matter, that’s just how things are. There is no trying to out-debate/argue something that’s being explained because it won’t change the outcome.
Just focus on what you can do, like work towards future limited rewards.
I mean, Wow is still a game in constant development, if enough people Tell Blizz that they are in the wrong, they’ll hopefully change it =)
This decade for sure.
'cause those rewards were seasonal rewards.
Nobody is being punished. Those rewards are cosmetic. If the rewards actually DID affect gameplay, then I would agree with you, but it ain’t the case.
I don’t have most of the season rewards from Shadowlands 'cause I didn’t play during Shadowlands. I don’t think I should have access to 'em just 'cause I’m playing now.
Oh well, Blizz can and will continue to abuse FOMO to get that bag. Tokens will continue to sell and people will still just buy AOTC. Doesn’t improve game quality or enjoyment at all, just continues to alienate new players while old-heads say stuff like “git gud”.
Blizz cares about the bottom line only and it shows with every decision.
“I didn’t play the game back then” isn’t you being punished. Drop the victim act. No one is being punished and no one is entitled to anything previously part of the game at the time.
Psychology, basic design, personal value, and memorabilia associated with the events. No, I won’t explain it further since I don’t think you’ll act in good faith. I’m simply showcasing that that there’s plenty of reasons even if you personally choose to ignore them.
“I’ll list of unrelated stuff and act like a won the debate”
Pixels are not memorabilia =)
The stuff isn’t coming back.
This doesn’t feel like losing.
Anyways, good decision by Blizzard. GD and Twitter gonna be good reads for the next few days until this settles down.
That’s like…totally your opinion, man.
Notice they just said the mount won’t be available on the trading post, they didn’t say it won’t be obtainable at all. There’s still a very decent chance it comes back somehow during the Pandamonium event, hopefully earnable through gameplay equivalent to how it was originally awarded.
Yeah, and that’s good. Everything should be obtainable. The how isn’t that important.
I don’t debate trolls. I merely use you as a platform to actually tell and talk with others. So no, I don’t debate nor will I act like I “won” anything. Explaining things to people who are purposefully ignorant is a waste of time.
After all, you aren’t acting out of logic - merely entitlement. One cannot “win” anything against you, only showcase your exceedingly silly logic. Such as this:
Yes they are. Just because you don’t value personal experiences and time doesn’t mean others don’t. The “pixels” doesn’t matter, but what they mean do.
Even if you put no value on your own time.
Have a good day.
Yep, my bet has been this since Wowhead first posted the article so they could farm engagement.
